Basic level paper but good enough for amateur

Unfortunately this paper from W&N disappoints immensely. It doesn't take water well, feel dry all the time, the paint doesn't bloom well.... Overpriced for what it is, you're better off grabbing a Hobbycraft own brand as it's half the price!

Bought as a present, my wife has really enjoyed getting back into watercolours after many years. The paper is good quality and she has found it great all round

QUello che mi ha stupito di questa carta, che non è 100%cotone, è che fino ad un certo punto l'acquerello si può "cancellare quasi totalmente" buona carta per esercitazioni o acquerelli poco bagnati, mi ha soddisfatta anche per il prezzo. abbastanza liscia e compatta.

Ich teste viele Papiere um das Beste für mich zu finden. Da bin ich auf dieses gestoßen und muss sagen ich war anfangs etwas skeptisch, aber nach und nach mochte ich es doch ganz gern. Ich bevorzuge eigentlich Hot Pressed Paper, weil ich glatte Oberflächen für meine Aquarelle schöner finde. Jedoch wollte ich mal wieder auch ein anderes Papier testen.Es lässt sich gut drauf radieren und auch Masking Fluid lässt sich wunderbar wieder ablösen. Das Papier hält einiges an Wasser aus und auch die Farben kommen sehr gut raus.Das einzige was mich gestört hat - es kam durch den Versand leicht beschädigt an. Zwei Ecken waren etwas eingedrückt.

I bought the cheaper wood pulp version. Decent quality but kind of expensive for what you get. The colours look nice. But this paper does something weird with the edges of what I'm painting. Even when I've painted a very smooth line, it blurs out and ends up looking jagged and uneven. I've never had this with any other paper (either cotton or wood pulp). I wouldn't buy it again. I think there's better paper that costs less.
