This product was brilliant! Due to the adjustable locking mechanism bar I was able to cut it ( with a hacksaw) to fit my door frame. The whole fitting took about 30 mins and was a total success. Works like a dream! Excellent value for money. Looks good too!

Easy to install, vacant/engaged dial is a bit cheap looking compared to the rest of the item unfortunately but overall looks great. Just measure carefully and take your time and it will look very professional adterwards.

Very good product, good quality chrome. Looks great once fitted. Quite easy to fit if you take your time. Make sure you make the hole that goes through the door (from one side to the other) large enough to accommodate the through bar so that it can move freely without binding.

This lock looks very good and each of the component parts (bar tensioning spring) are quite robust and the overall product looks well finished. However, having adjusted the bar that goes through the door to the correct length and installed the lock (fairly straightforward) I found that the internal ratchet mechanism was very loose to operate - so much so that the internal workings came apart after a few weeks off use. Having made some minor adjustments (thicker washer and better circlip) it worked OK for a while, but then came apart when someone (unfamiliar with the quirks of this lock) managed to jam the locking bar inside the internal side block (there is a positive stop in the mechanism but the overall loose construction does not allow for sufficient travel of the locking bar). Since I bought this lock I have had to remove it, adjust and refit at least half a dozen times. I cannot recommend this to anyone who likes to fit something once and then expect it to function as advertised.

Sturdy, easy to install and exactly what I wanted.

After reading some of the feedbacks I decided to grease the toothed slider before I installed it. It works very well and is very smooth. Having said that I have purchased another one.

The unit is heavy sturdy BUT the chrome plating was corroded in an area on the doorlock side .There was a strange dusty precipiate on the inside of the casting which looked like wood dust making me think this had been reclaimed and repackaged. The indicator disk is just cardboard held on by a washer and a circlip -its wobbly and i reckon would simply wear off or fall apart in time. This could be strengthened by taking off the circlip and putting a plastic disk to back it- but i just couldnt be bothered :- i sent it back for a refund and im looking elsewhere .
