Get these!!!
Playing disc golf in tall dry grass means those little stickers get all over socks in in shoes. Takes minutes to remove them and often tears the fabric in both. Simple and small gaiters prevent 95% of this issue. Sock, shoe and irritation savers!!! My entire group wears them now!

Good enough
Trying to get this to stay in place. I wonder how the string going under the shoe does when hiking. Doesn't it get cut to pieces?

Okay, but not perfect.
I like that they are very lightweight. the pair weighs 1.75 ounces (50 grams) on my scale. The adjustable cords and lock have too much excess dangling when pulled tight. I find them so short that they barely come up to the top of my (3/4 height) boots and my pant cuffs are barely covered. It might be peculiar to my situation or boots, but I expected them to be easier to put on and adjust to my boots and pants. I am going to keep them and use them when not in deeper snow, but they just were not what I expected. I would purchase something a little larger (higher) next time.

Not Good Quality or Fit
I purchased these gaiters to take on a gorilla trek in Uganda. They are very light weight but will not fit the average person. They were hard to put on. The top is not tight around your leg. I could not get the bottom to stay down around my boots. The yellow cord once pulled tight is too long and a tripping hazard. After 15 minutes of trying to get them to work, I removed them and went without. They were very frustrating.

Fit Depends on Type of Shoe
I purchased these to cover deck boots. Although I didn't try them with the boots, I can tell they run large. There is no way to cinch the binding.

These Work Well
UPDATE 05-09-2023: Short pants weather is here and I finally was able to really put these gaiters to the test. And, I'm upping my review to five stars. While the gaiters are very lightweight, they worked great. They stayed up around my socks, and the strings that go under the foot stayed put right where they belong, even with boots that don't have a pronounced front ledge on the heel. I added a photo showing the gaiter on my muddy boot and that's after about 4 miles of sloppy hiking. The gaiters stayed in place and kept mud and stones from getting into my boots. These gaiters are super lightweight. They come in a tiny pouch (see my photo next to a computer mouse. That makes them great for packing but I know from experience that gaiters take a beating and these will not be as durable as something made from a heavier fabric. These gaiters are too low to work well with long pants. They may look fine when standing still, but once you start moving, climbing over rocks and have your feet/legs bump together, long pants will probably pull out of the slippery coated cloth. That's not any issue for me. I use low gaiters like this in the summer with short pants. They keep dirt and mud from getting down into my boots and also offer some protection from bugs like ticks. However, I found that these gaiters aren't snug enough around my lower leg - so, they aren't secured well on my leg and debris can still get in through that gap.Another area that could be improved is the attachment point for the strings that go under the boot. Those attachments are further back than the arch of my boot so the string gets pulled back toward my heel at an angle. My boots don't have a sharp ledge between the arch and heel and I'm concerned that the string will slide back under the heel of the boot causing the string to wear quickly. Fortunately, the string is easily replaced if that happens. On the positive side, these gaiters will offer some protection, especially with the right boots. And they should be durable enough for occasional use. At the relatively low price, they might be sufficient if the light weight and packability are a priority.

Short Hiking Gaiters with Carry Bag
Nice packable set of gaiters that come in their own little carry bag.Pros: Light weight, easy to put on, covers just above the ankle which is nice if you want to wear them with shorts or capris. They have an adjustable string that probably isn’t the strongest or the best for longevity but it looks like it would be very easy to replace. Size and weight is great for tossing into a pack to make sure you have them on hand. Again they are not the tallest but they would work to keep sand or brush from gettin onto your socks or into your shoes.Cons: Not the strongest nylon material, but will do the job to keep out dust and dirt and other debris. The Velcro in the back is a pain to get situated once you get them on. The elastic at the top is not adjustable so if you have small ankles like I do there might be a gap. I sew, so I will take it in and make the adjustment but not everyone can do that. The string at the arch, as mentioned might not last that long with use, but it can be replaced. The length could be a con for some, if you want a long gaiter, again it would be preference or need that you would have to consider this before buying. Personally for the price, these are not bad and as stated above, they have a cool little bag to keep them together when in your pack. I think I will get use out of them this summer when I am hiking in the brush and sand, so for me they are a decent product.
