How did I miss it
I have been a fan of Camel since their 1st album, and bought them all up to Harbour of Tears. I wasn't aware of " a nod" until a came across it on Amazon and read the reviews. It is a reflective album with a number of styles but unmistakable Camel. It is now one my favourite Camel albums. Andy Latimers guitar playing is outstanding and should be recognised as one of the 'greats'. Buy it you won't be disappointed, if only to listen to the final track ,For Today.

More of a wink than a nod
A Nod and a Wink is a good album with a gentle, bucolic texture. Two tracks, however, stand out - and for very different reasons. Fox Hill is the only Camel track ever recorded that I can say I dislike unremittingly, and this is largely due to the Dick van Dyke vocal delivery. For Today, on the other hand, has a grandeur and eloquence that easily surpasses anything else on this album and is simply a masterpiece.

Camel's finest album!!!
I thought that Snow Goose could never be bettered, but this album beats the lot! If you've ever liked any of Camel's fine albums, then you will quickly grow to like this album. One listening and I was hooked, and two months later I have to hear it every day!Just take a chance & buy it; you won't be disappointed!

Somewhat Disappointing.
As a Camel fan, I bought this CD on the strength of the Camel name and some of the reviews.I have now listened to the album on several occasions and it is not as good as I expected it to be. Maybe I was expecting too much - but for now I recommend you try Colin Bass - An Outcast of the Islands.....truly fantastic.

Great Album.
One of the best albums by a top three favourite band of mine. Fantastic.

A nod towards the past
Camel fans will immediately love this album - it's very retro, very English, beautifully crafted, and has all the usual Latimer touches. It certainly borrows from early Genesis, and here and there I detect a touch of Jethro Tull - not a bad thing, but this work is not exactly a musically challenging experience. It's more like a comfortable pair of slippers.
