The switch needs a 25mm deep 'back box' (one suitable for a 13A power socket) **Q: Is there a fuse that goes in this switch** A: No. There is no fuse. It is a well made 32 amp double pole switch **Q: Has anyone used a timer box with this switch to turn it on and off at set times** A: Yes this is possible to do, but it rather depends on the load being switched. First, is it safe to allow the load to be turned on, possibly when you are away from home or even when you are in bed? Obviously the circumstances need to be carefully considered. I would suggest that the timer is wired in-circuit after this isolating switch (between the switch and the load). It is not easy to find a timer unit (or timer in a box) that is able to switch up to 32 Amperes, which should be the circuit maximum. Again, I am assuming that the overload protection is by way of a device at the fuse box (Consumer Service Unit) as there is no overload protection provided by the MK K5105WHI device and as no fuse is used, then the entire circuit and the load is only protected by the fuse board (CSU) device, which may also include Residual Current protection by an RCD. (Depends on your CSU configuration). Back to the procurement of a suitable timer device…. You may need to fit a metal box enclosure, with a conventional timer and a 32 Ampere or greater relay / contactor with a 230-250 volt coil. Then the timer will power the relay coil and the relay contacts can switch the load. This may all sound a bit technical, and if you do not fully understand what has been said, I would strongly suggest you contact and approved and registered electrician for advice.
