The media could not be loaded. This is the third one of these that I have ordered. I now have a pair of nut hatches nesting in one of them. I especially like how these have the entrances on different sides and that it's double story. They function well because each story has a clean out. It's already assembled so nothing to do but choose how you're going to hang or mount it. I like the design which is almost like a log cabin.But of course the most important thing is what do the birds think? They seem to really enjoy it! So for us, it represents a good value and we have noticed an increase of birds in our yard. See the attached video of the nuthatches nesting in it!

Very nice and built great. Should last many years. I wish the opening for cleaning was larger.

I have used unpainted aka 'natural' birdhouses outdoors in the past ... and, within just a couple to several years, they are rotting away and coming apart. But for those that I have painted to protect the wood ... some of them are being used by the birds as many as 10 and 12 years after first placing them in the trees around my gardens.I use a good exterior latex (water-base) paint ... specifically, Behr Marquis (Behr guarantees their paints to be colour-fast for at lest 25 years). But better yet, the paint seals the pores of the wood against the weather, and the next boxes last for many years. And the colours have never deterred the birds from using the nest boxes. I do recommend you paint boxes either in the fall or early winter, so the paint has completely dried and is odor-free before placing them outdoors.

Very nice birdhouse. It is lightweight. Sprayed and sealed it. After a few days of letting it air out, we attached it on a high platform . Within an hour and a half, a pair of bluebirds claimed it. Never had birds move it so quickly.I think I will order another one.

Very well made. Has 2 floors and 2 clean out doors. So cute, already have birds nesting.

I got this for the double family aspect. It is fully assembled and ready to be painted, if you want to. I wanted to jazz it up and painted it with exterior latex paint in blue. Gotta be careful NOT to use a paint that is toxic to birds, however. So I used a regular water based house paint and it came out great! We screwed it to tree, however, because the hanger wire that comes with it looks like it will break at some point. Don't want it falling due to any high winds or weird weather, so we securely screwed it to a big Maple tree. Nice design that is reminiscent of a log cabin/ Very cute. We can see it from our kitchen window and really, really enjoy watching the birds check it out for the first time and approve. Watching them next is a wonderful joy for all ages. Really nice and we love it! Bird and people approved!! : )
