I am really pleased with this heating mantle. I am using a thermometer in my flask and adjusted temperature to 82’C and it holds it right there. In other words it works great.

Product came fast and works great. I would recommend both product and seller.

Inconsistant tempuratures. I need 75c and 95c. This heats to about 120c and the tempurature nob appears to be more of an on/off than an actual tempurature control. This is not usable.

Seems to work just fine. No stupid thermocouple to foul up so I highly recommend this mantle over any others.

My original review was made before I actually tried to use this thing in a real world situation which revealed many hidden problems. Yes, it gets hot - but only ever fully power or off... I got it beause it was adjustable, I don't need or want 1200watts of heat for most my reactions it's way too hot but even thou is a knob it has threshold about 80% of scale below which it is totall off, and above that it's totally on! No it doesnt cycle on/off/on/off it's just full on. or if i turn the knob a millimeter the other direction it's totally off! Let it sit for hours thinking it wouldl cycle but no... Same problem with the stirrer - it's either off, or going so fast it's throwing the stir rod around and not able to spin. Except for this one is slightly ever so slightly adjustable within about a 2mm arc of the knob u go from totally off to totally on and a sort of in between speed.. This to me is typical of a lot of products on Amazon - they look like the real thing, but are copies designed by people who have no idea how to use them or are just trying to make something that looks just good enough that some idiot might buy it like me thinking it's a usable product. Amazon needs better quality control.. 1 in 5 products are like this.... The knobs are mostly useless -

I was able to use this heater for one distillation before it began shorting out and tripping the GFCI. Upon disassembly, I found that the wiring is single strand uninsulated aluminum that has a scant amount of ceramic beads to act as spacers/insulators. Basically knob and tube in a modern device. Very disappointed.

Worked twice then heating mechanism failed.

Perfect for lab or home lab use. Solidly built, mixer is a great addition for extractions using soxhlet, ethanol and heat. Very easy to set temperature using your own laser thermometer or other. I will purchase more of these in the future.

Alles in Allem super. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist die Gewebeauskleidung. Diese ist im Gerät irgendwie verklebt und neigt dazu sich am Glaskolben festzukleben. Ich behandle den Kolben jetzt außen mit etwas Silikonöl - Problem gelöst. Übrigens: Der Originalhersteller dieser Heizhauben stattet die neueren Geräte mit einem Gummiüberzug aus, um Energie zu sparen. Das kann man sehr leicht nachrüsten: Ich habe eine 2mm Silikonmatte* auf das Maß der Heizhaube ausgeschnitten. Dann passend zum Kolben eine Aussparung für den Kolben (also etwas kleiner als dessen größter Durchmesser) angebracht. So liegt die Silikonmatte plan auf dem ca. 4cm breiten Rand der Heizhaube auf. Das Gehäusematerial besteht aus pulverbeschichtetem Stahl. Daher kann ich die Silikonmatte ganz einfach mit einigen flachen Neodym-Magnetscheiben fixieren. Gutes Upgrade! * https://amzn.eu/d/hSAtP86
