Use this one first, it works!
The one that works! I tried multiple methods of cutting my light defusers & ruined 3 before getting this one. Patience & pressure cuts were the trick with this affordable option. Wish I'd gotten it first!

awkward working angle
This is a sturdy, easy to handle tool I bought to cut a 3/16" acrylic sheet. Howeer, I used it to cut 1/4"material and this was really too thick to use this tool with so it took many passes to cut a groove deep enough to snap. If you don't hold it precisely perpendicular to the workpiece it will tend to slip out of line. Another major fault was that I had to hold it uncomfortably close to parallel to the surface of the work material to get that satisfying screech that tells you you're cutting. A slightly more acutely raked tooth on the end would allow the handle to be held at a greater angle to the workpiece in a more natural hand position. I will say it makes a fairly clean groove in the plastic, and after a few strokes, it stays in the groove. The material I was using might have been better managed with a fine tooth jigsaw.

Don't be in a rush to use this tool!
This will certainly cut through some plastic covering. Just take your time and you will not be disappointed!

Doesn't hold up.
I used it 5 times scoring 1/16 plexiglas and I couldn't believe how dull the blade got. I'm having more luck with a standard utility knife.

Doesn't work...AT ALL
Doesn't work...AT ALL... unless the thickness of your plexiglass is 1 mm, don't waste your money!

Works well. Ergonomic and comfortable.
Sharp, good value. Still must have patience and arm/wrist strength to cut deep enough on acrylic fluorescent light cover panels.
