Love the results - allen wrench/hex key doesn't cut it
I put this on my 2018 Forester XT and it was absolutely worth the money. Before I installed this my lane departure warning was constantly going off and it was a never ending battle to keep from drifting into other lanes. Corners on the interstate were the worst. The first time I drove it after installing was one of the first (if not the first) drive I'd made in this vehicle without the lane departure warning alarm sounding. If you don't have a socket that can be used to get the bolt in place I wouldn't bother starting the project until you do. The provided tool is a nice thought I guess, but it's going to take you a very long time to finish the job if that's all you've got to work with. Lubricate the pieces thoroughly and apply a little after you've got the bolt started so the metal can more easily slide into place. If you have short arms, ask a friend to reach in from the top while you get it started from the bottom it will save you some time.

Great Mod
After spending way too much time installing the Perrin shifter bushing, I was nervous about taking this project on. However, install was a breeze. I went from under the car and found it easy to access. Like other reviewers have mentioned, get a socket. If I had used the supplied allen wrench I would probably still be working on it.As for the functionality, I found it to be a nice upgrade to the sloppy steering. I feel more confident behind the wheel especially at highway speeds. I have not felt any vibration to the steering wheel as others have mentioned.Installed on a 2017 base model WRX.

You need this for your subaru
Makes a difference. Makes my outback actually fun to drive on winding roads. Lane centering (not lane keep assist) works better with this installed since there's less slop. Just make sure to grease all of the contact points before installing or it'll bind up and not insert all the way.

Fits 2020 Forester
Quality kit, although a bit pricy. Instructions are good, but You Tube videos are better. Says to retorque supplied screw after a while, but not sure it's a good idea to move the thread locker after it sets.

Add some steering wheel feedback.
Pros: add some steering wheel feedback, makes steering feel more like hydraulic than electric. Takes a moment to get used to since the steering play is gone.Cons: install can be a pain from top of engine bay or underneath. I added some spray lubricant to help slide 1 of the brackets in 1st, and prayed that it stayed in place while I tried to install the other. And because of limited space, anyone with a larger forearm will have a more difficult time and will get scraped up.

It works.
I never do reviews and I buy much from Amazon but people must know this is a great product. I had trouble determining if it would fit my wife’s 2017 Subaru Outback. I called the manufacturer direct and they gave me some specs. Ordered, installed it in less than a half hour. What a huge difference it made. Prior to installing the part anything over 75 on the highway felt unsafe. Now rest assured one could go as fast as they dare and not worry about the control and stability. I highly recommend this product.

A great improvement in steering response on highway speed turns and ...
I swear I have a new car!! A great improvement in steering response on highway speed turns and when encountering cross winds. Car used to wander in the lane at 70+ mph; not anymore!
