Rick and Morty: Deck builder light
For anyone that wants to have a Deck builder game but prefer ones that's not overly complex... this is the one to buy. In a quick summary this is basically a game where you draw five cards and your goal is to buy cards worth more money and buy the council of Rick's cards into your hand and not your opponents...most Victory points at end wins. This is not a cooperative game. It's you versus everyone else to get the most victory points while piling the negative victory points (Morty waves) onto foes. What I enjoyed with this versus say.... Lord of the Rings the card game, is the streamlined player turn. Instead of having to manage a character, their gear, and then assign them to phases you are only buffing one Rick. It's a little disingenuous to compare this game to others because your gear is discarded each round, unless it has Ongoing or (stays in hand). Every round is just another set of five cards with the hope you have cards with "draw a card" or some location with a nice "ongoing" that increases money/card draws. The game isn't overly deep but the combination of card effects really makes the game work and not feel like UNO. Having the opportunity to buy portal guns to have a chance to buy a location is a great opportunity missed if you focus on spending money at the lineup (store). Those locations have subtle but very beneficial conditions to offset or boost normal cards. For example if you've been getting foes tossing Morty waves (negative junk) cards into your deck you can find a location that allows you to draw a card for each one in your active hand. Turning a negatives into a positive and since it's ongoing, it's just a rare useful passive ability you have. Not complex/deep but you can feel by the end you were managing some abilities and card tricks but weren't googling how cards work like in other games. The only negative things I can say is with only two people it takes away some of the fun of cards where you can specifically handicap someone doing well because with only one enemy it's no surprise which foe is going to lose a card or get a Morty wave. The last thing I noted is since your starter is so small at start you shuffle your deck every or every other round. In terms of subject matter of cards I wouldnt call this game charming: where your squanching under the table and flipping people the bird to draw a card....but the games not vulgar just tongue in cheek and with an expansion in a couple months this definitely feels like a keeper for adults/ young adults. Also per other reviews dropping down to 2 to 3 council members greatly shortens the time to play. In the last game we played for a full 2hours (we have kids) and I was convinced my wife was handedly beating me as she'd gotten lots of high value cards and had gotten 4 of the council of Rick deck but due to my game of attrition and feeding her Morty waves and one unfortunate Evil Rick effect... I beat her by sudden death rules where we both had 32 victory points but I had 3 to her 2 council of elders cards. ( Evil Rick isn't part of council and she was forced to destroy one of her 3 council Ricks).Give it a try and just layout the board per the book and you'll figure the flow in no time and be squanching and laughing every 10 seconds watching the afternoon blow by.

Came unboxed and box was damaged
Game itself is playable but kind of ruined one of my bf’s Xmas surprise when he opened the door finding the game without shippping box and the game box itself was damaged, not sure what kinda trauma the game went through to get to my place.

Slow start, but fun and easy to learn
My husband and I are really into card games, and have been learning and building decks with Magic the Gathering, but we also love Rick and Morty, so when I saw this I thought it would be a fun game for us to play on our own and with friends. It is nice that we can play it with just two players, but it is a really slow start until you get the hang of the rules and can move quickly. The only complaint I can see so far is that is seems that with the attacking cards, it is pretty easy to screw up someones entire game. Which on one side is good, but if you are on the receiving end, it is pretty frustrating to get to the point where you can't win no matter what.

A great deck-building game!
My boyfriend and I are huge Rick and Morty fans so naturally, we had to get this game! We have the teen titans version of this game as well which we very much enjoy playing. This one doesn't take as long to play which is nice! We love all the different strategies you can make. If you enjoy playing games that take strategy this would be a great choice for you.We play this all the time! It's quickly become our most played game that we own.

Great for people who like “deck building games”
I’m new to the deck building games, so there’s a learning curve to how the game is supposed to be played. At times, I wish the instructions were a little more clear, but I’m not faulting the game for that since there’s a chance I’m over thinking or missing some aspect of the rules. There’s a couple videos on YouTube that are good for showing you how the game play works. Once it gets going, it’s a fun game. I recommend this to anyone that likes deck building games. If you’re more of a board game kind of person, this is probably is not the right game for you.

Very fun game that makes us laugh
The various cards and parts of the game remind us of various episodes and we laughed while playing it. The price was good, considering how many cards and pieces there are in the box.I myself am new to card building games, so it took me a bit to learn it. The description says "30 minute play time" but it took us a couple hours to setup and play through. Maybe because we were all new to the game, or new to card buiding games. Either way, it was fun.

A really fun game for Rick and Morty fans.
Really fun game. Rules take about an hr to read through and a game to grasp, but once you get into it it’s really fun and entertaining. If wondering how its played, just look for videos of the dc deck building game. Same principle but R&M themed.More fun if you’ve watches the series, at least that episode.

Fun and entertaining
This game is actually really fun once you get the hang of it, it seems complicated at first but is rather simple. Mild and infrequent vulgarity which is toned down quite a bit from rick and Monty’s typical banter. Gave a good few laughs would be a fun party game

Great deck-building game for any Rick & Morty fans!
Bought this for my girlfriend as she is a huge fan of both games and Rick & Morty. If you've played any other deck-building games then the basic mechanics will be familiar, but the themed cards and 'portal gun' additions make for a really fun, unique game. Really simple to play once you've got your head around the various card types and special rules. Definitely recommeneded to fans of card games, deck-builders or Rick & Morty.

Great game
I bought this for my brother for Christmas 2020. We both really like it and it helps us spend family time together. It's a deck building game with a Rick and Morty twist to it.

A really fun card building game
I've never played a game with this type of mechanic before, but it was easy to learn and great fun to play.My partner who has never seen Rick and Motey also enjoyed playing this.Great value for money and now one of my favourite games to play.

Terribly written rules and instructions, avoid it!
The rule book is incomplete, terribly written and thus leaves huge questions of how to play it unanswered.Although it looks good and all the characters are involved there are just huge holes in the game play that are simply left open to interpretation, "draw a card" from where, there are several stacks to draw from? It's a very tedious game, I was glad when it was over.
