Great Knife for the Price
I bought this knife because I am a big fan of the Ontario RAT II ( Ontario Knife Company OD Green RAT II Folding Knife ) and this seems to be the ESEE version. I haven't had it very long yet, but here are my initial observations. What's different with this knife from the Ontario: Drop point blade, frame lock, thinner, slightly heavier (due to the backside metal frame/lock), blade deploy not as smooth. I like all of these differences except the blade deployment. I have owned three different variations of the RAT and all of them have deployed smooth as butter right out of the box. Obviously, this one might get better with use or with some adjustment of the axis screw. Deployment is not difficult - in fact, I would describe it as very good for a knife in this price range. It is just not at the same level as the RAT.Heavier is not always a good thing, but in this case the additional strength in the frame and the safer frame lock make the extra weight well worth it. Heavier = heavier duty. The one thing I've never liked about the RAT is the blade shape with the straight back. The drop point on this one is a big improvement IMO.If you are looking for a medium size light-duty knife in the $30-35 range, the RAT II might be a better option. If you want a medium size heavier-duty knife in the same range, I recommend this one.

Great value for money for people who actually use their knives.
Feels good in the hand. Liner lock just a little hard to operate (have owned liner locks for years so familiarity with lock style not the problem) and the lack of a scale on the clip side of knife takes getting used to. Smooth opening, nice blade shape and sharp out of the box. Rides well in the pocket and doesn't scream KNIFE to the easily offended. Comes set up for tip down cary but easy to change to tip up but not changeable for left side carry. Very good knife for someone who wants a quality knife but does not want to spend a lot of money. Not a "cheap" knife but an excellent value.

Solid, Basic, Thin....economically smart
For the price you cant fault this thin slicer. 4 finger grab, good consistent quality. This is a thin utility knife that feels good in the hand.Impressions:FramelockRight side up /down carryBig thin profile stonewashed flat ground Aus8 Spear blade should do the work without drag.Solid lock with good early actionBrass bushed! Bearing detent closure- I like that.Decent clip and nice standoffs.Good thumbstuds and Ergonomics even for larger hands.Lock disengage a little on the fussy side for big thumbs but adequate.Compact knife.G10 or glass cover- one side over stainless frame good feel but thin and hopefully durable. Not a plush feel in the hand but not 100 dollars either and no discomforts. Used as a knife this is a great value for a folder as long as youdon't try to pry with it. I wouldn't choose this for 100% bushcrafting..and I knew that going in. Its a high value quick solid flipper for most tasks!

Good knife for its intended purpose
This is a nice knife. It is not the easiest to open or unlock. I believe the frame lock is the reason it is kind of slow to open and the lock is so stiff that it is a tad bit hard to unlock. I knew what I was buying, but after having purchased this I realize that I like knifes with handles on both sides instead of only on one side and the frame lock on the other. It came very sharp and it slices an apple like a dream. I'll take it camping because it is rugged and cheap and I won't be too sad if it gets lost or breaks, but I have other knives I prefer to EDC.

Stiff Lock Bar
I absolutely love the size and shape of this knife. When opened, it was very comfortable, but closing it was rough. The lock bar was incredibly tough and thats the only reason I don't carry this knife.

Great Folder, Great Value.
This Knife was a surprise when I opened it up. Very well built, sturdy. Easy to open and close. and SHARP! The frame lock is great and feels very secure. The blade shape is very usefull and great for an all around knife. Because this is a frame lock there is only one handle scale, the scale is nice looking but not as textured as I hoped but it feels good in hand. In my opinion the weakest part of any knife with a pocket clip is the pocket clip itself. I have not had this knife long enough to evaluate the pocket clip. But I did change it from tip down carry to tip up. I used a #6 Torques bit to change the clip around. Over all a great knife for the money.

Perfect EDC knife, highly recommend.
I got this knife solely to fill out an order on a gift card. Looking thru the website I saw it and liked the looks and the size. Glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised when the order arrived. It was as sharp as any factory edge that I have. I've got knives from just about every price range. The fit and finish rivaled many of the high priced folders in the "drawer". Weight and size is perfect for EDC. Open/closing is very smooth and tbe blade lock engagement was just about perfect as well as the blade centering was when closed. I could not find any appreciable fault to criticize this knife for. It quickly became my EDC knife and is clipped in my pocket as I write this critique.

Feels good, but dulls quickly
Firstly, let's talk about what I like. It is a well built, nicely balanced pocket knife. It feel durable and weighty. It opens and closes smoothly.Unfortunately, this knife gets dull more quickly than just about any other knife I have ever used. Opening envelopes dulls this thing. It is not a great choice for any heavier work that is rougher on the blade. I wanted to like this thing a lot more than I do. It is nice in many respects, but it just cannot hold an edge, even in light usage. I would not recommend it because of that, unfortunately.

Bon petit couteau
