Skar Audio RP-800.1DM 800 Watt Monoblock Class D Marine Subwoofer Amplifier

These SUBS HIT – Great Upgrade for My F-150! I got the refurbished one for $30 cheaper, 4 months no problemo. I bought a used 2020 Ford F-150 with no premium sound, and needed something to bring the music to life. Started with one 8" sub in a sealed box powered by an RP 800.1D amp (I went with the white marine version—looks clean). It was decent at 4 ohms, but after 20 years away from the audio scene, I knew I needed more. I used to have 50lbs of extra stuff under my seat, this helps clean it up and sounds great. I added a second 8" dual 2-ohm Skar sub and dropped the load to 2 ohms using their prefabbed ported box. WORLD of difference. This setup absolutely hits—tight, clean, and loud for 8s. I double-checked everything on the Skar website to make sure it all matched up, and the results speak for themselves. My dad enjoys the deeper sound, my wife loves the added fullness to the music, and most importantly—my 17-year-old son now begs to drive my truck just for the system. Install was easy, the box fits perfectly under the rear seat and looks factory. Multiple people have seen it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t stock. This sub, amp, and box combo slaps no matter what genre you play. If you're looking for solid bass fill and don’t want to break the bank, this setup is 100% worth it. I’ve been running it daily for over 4 months—2 hours a day, high power—and it’s still going strong. If anything, i do not like the white Skar logo on the box, so I am going to darken it out with paint or marker, which ever smells less in the truck. Go to Skar website and make sure you get matching subs for box and the correct amp.

I added this amplifier to my boat to drive a Kicker 10" subwoofer tube. It's integrated in to the rest of my system and worked great out of the box. If plugging in with multiple amps, I do recommend a ground-loop isolator (which I used). What I can say is that this thing absolutely thumps. My boat's sound system is deceptive, it doesn't look like it packs a punch until I power it on. But when it's on, hold on to your hat. I can say with certainty that this drives that sub beautifully. I honestly keep the bass level (on the remote) at 50%, because that's all I ever need. It really exceeded my expectations, and it works like a champ. I keep the amp under a seat (in Texas) where it could get really hot. But I never ran into any heat issues. In fact, I'd check on it, and it was surprisingly not hot. Even under some serious load. It also has gotten wet with no issues. So, my final verdict is that this is a great amp, and it gets the job done.

Replaced an old Boss 1500 amp (about 200 watts rms @ 4 ohms) that I have had for 10 years. It is powering some old (also 10 years old) Pioneer Champion Series 10" DVC 4 ohm subs that I have wired for 2 ohms in a sealed box. These subs are rated for 350 watts rms and this amp pushes about 600 watts rms @ 2 ohms. I'll tell you what, that's plenty for a Jeep Wrangler 2 door. My Sahara Wrangler has the upgraded Alpine speakers/sub and amp from factory. I disconnected the sub but the factory speakers are running about 60 watts x 4. The whole combo is excellent. I went with the marine grade because the white looks nice and if I take the Jeep top off, I don't have to worry about the amp. If I end up blowing these old Pioneers, which were never pushed this hard before, I will buy some Skar subs and wire it all up to 1 ohm and see what this amp can really do. It has barely gotten warm so far under my passenger seat. I run my crossover setting around 80 to 100 hz (mostly for rock and metal, which is why I have a sealed box for the thump) gain up about 70%, +6 boost and my stereo sub setting to medium with the EQ set flat. Even with these settings I feel the subs are at there limits. We'll see how long these old subs last. Highly recommend.

This thing is great. Probably the best value for the money marine amp out there right now. You have a lot of flexibility in terms of wiring. Right now I have 8 4 ohm speakers wired in pairs to each of the 4 channels, resulting in a 2 ohm final load and doubling my power to $250 watts per channel. I have this mounted to the inside of my center console with a 1/4 inch spacer to help with airflow and it never gets too hot, even when playing full blast for hours. My only complaint is that there are no fuses on the amp itself, so you need to have inline fuses for it to function, not a huge deal but adds a little more to the wiring complication in the marine environment. Skar may get a bad rap, but both myself and the many other people I know who have products from them have never had problems. Take the time to install these correctly and set your gain correctly and you won’t have issues. Even when using cheap $70 Belva 8 inch speakers this thing sounds great.

This amp is hooked up to 4 jl audio m6 770s and let me tell you what !!!!! this thing makes them Rock !!!!! sound for days clarity volume !!!! the price is amazing for what this thing can do. will be purchasing a Skar amp for my tube if I decide to get one. the 4 770s put out some thump for no bigger than they are. and its all help from this amp.

A simple vista se nota la buena calidad de el amplificador, ya instalado y empezar a calibrar me hizo sonar muy fuerte un set de medios de 3 vías de hertz de 100 whats RMS anteriormente usaba un sound magus pk 700.4 clase d de 100 RMS por canal y creo notar escucharlo más fuerte este Skar aun así siendo de clase A/B que se enfocan más en calidad que en potencia, volvería a comprar amplificadores Skar Audio que si dan potencia real y hasta más de la que muestran en sus especificaciones
