Unglued Bible Study Participant's Guide: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions

The book that goes with this is great, but I find, as with all of Lysa's books, getting the study guide helps me put into practice what her books teach. Thats why I like Lysa, she always has study guides to use with her books. Oh, and im a dude, so even though her studies are geared towards women, I find her to be my favorite author. I think all guys should give her stuff a try...she destroys any guy Christian authors out there!

I did this study on my own,without the videos. I was doing this from afar with my Bible study group. Having the videos would have been helpful, but I also read the book along with it, which helped. As with most studies there are always things to learn and new insights to glean. Lisa relates some different ways to understand your reactions to situations....many related to being a wife and a mom.

I have nothing but praise for @Lysa TerKeurst's new book, "Unglued." I have been watching this book develop since before its release on August 7th. I have already shared five or six copies of "Unglued" with friends because I believe reading and reflecting on "Unglued" is certain to be extremely beneficial to each of them. I am excited and enthused about the solid teaching and help found in these pages. Applying this new knowledge will help people to respond rather than react, to establish honest communication, and to build and maintain stronger, healthier relationships. Absorbing the teaching in this book and working through the materials in the Bible study guide will equip readers to handle all emotionally charged and difficult situations if they are willing to practice and apply the truths within "Unglued's" pages. I am preparing to lead a group through the Bible study using the Participant's Guide designed to accompany the "Unglued" book. You cannot fail to get useful and accurate information and help from reading and studying "Unglued." I think "Unglued" tops "Made to Crave" though both books address needed topics and both are quite helpful. "Unglued" focuses on what comes out of our mouths, a much-needed topic given the serious deterioration of relationships and the lack of peace in today's troubled society. We can learn to make wiser choices, not stuff or react out of raw emotion. Definitely worth every minute of the read and study.

I don't like feeling like I am writing in an actual book. One of my bible study mates suggested taking it to an office store and having them bind it for me, but I never got around to it. It would be better if it were bigger and thinner than the actual book itself, or to just be included in the book itself. Was confusing to have to read the book seperately and then go to this one for homework, or watching the video. Not too clear, or organized well. Made me want to stick my head in her yellow bag. Lol. On a different note, the content is good, but you absolutely have to watch the DVD to get what she's writing about. The study also is NOT for a group of women who don't know each other very well, or for a very dedicated woman to do on her own time as a personal study. The questions are very deep and personal, and the pace was very quick and didn't warm me up well at all to want to open up and share what she was asking, therefore I didn't get out of the study what I had hoped for. I am normally big on sharing, and opening up and getting to know the women in my bible studies but for some reason, this study didn't encourage me to open up, I always felt behind on my homework, and was left pretty disappointed at the end of the study.

The Unglued study is for every woman, in any lifestage. When I first considered teaching it to our ladies Bible study Connect Group I wondered, "is this for every woman...?" YES! Lysa T has touched on the weakest points within all of us and offered simple hope and practices to stay in one piece rathed than falling apart. We come unglued in various ways, sometimes silently, stuffing our emotions down deep. I highly recommend this as a group study as well as individual study. The participant's guide compliments the book and takes one into deeper study.

Every woman I know can relate to this book. Lysa has done it again and created a down to earth, easy to relate to, humorous yet serious, book to help women control their emotions. Control, and recognize why they are happening in the first place. This isn't an in-your-face Bible study, but a great tool to help women using principles, examples and scripture from the Word. I have done this study with women from my church and friends and know more and more women starting it. It has helped me immensely in my relationship with my husband and toddler.

I love the setup of this participant's guide, there is so much space for your study. The questions allow you to get into study and delve into the bible and become closer in your relationship. I love the guided prayers included. I would recommend this study to others.

My daughter likes the workbook very much as she is busily raising two boys and life can be hectic to say the least.
