Super easy to replace. Apple wanted 3x the price to replace the glass. Slight misalignment
I bought this glass after reading multiple reviews for this. I have a late 2009 27" IMac and the glass cracked and then cracked some more and then had multiple branch cracks. Uggh! I had planned to have an Apple authorized repair shop fix the glass. They charge $40 labor plus ordered the front replacement glass for $132 from Apple. I waited about 2 and a half weeks. The Apple replacement glass took forever. Eventually I told the shop to cancel my order and refund me for how I pre-paid for the glass. Meanwhile I watched a few YouTube videos about how easy it was to replace the glass. The suction cups are not necessary, I used duct tape to form handles to pull the glass away from the frame. The glass is really only held on by magnets on the top and sides and by a slotted hinge on the bottom. You pull and tilt forward and then once the glass is detached you gently lift it up and out of the bottom hinge slot. When I ordered the new glass through Amazon it got here in 2 days. Perfect condition. Protectively wrapped. I peeled the film off both sides, installed the new glass. Fit like a charm. It does have a very tiny overlap on the right hand side where the glass is not exactly flush against the frame but it's like maybe 2 millimeters. I can live with that. It's not enough to deduct a star from the product. It is crystal clear. I was so pleased, I ordered 16 GB of RAM chips (4) to upgrade the RAM in the IMac also. It's like I have a new computer, except it's about 13 years old. I recommend this product. Skip the suction cups if you can. A utility knife blade will also be handy to gently pry the old glass away from the frame magnets and then you can slowly use a guitar pick or a scotty peeler or credit card to gently work the glass away from the frame along the top and sides, before tilting the glass forward and lifting it upwards from where it fits into a groved / hinged series of slots on the bottom. Overall I was very cautious doing this repair myself and took extra time to get it done. Once I found out how easy it was I would have done it much quicker. I think the whole process takes 5 minutes or less. The prep beforehand and the cleanup afterwards take way more time than the actual repair.

Perfect fit for 2011 iMac
This Lecho replacement glass is a perfect fit for 2011 iMac. Installation tips:1. The iMac glass is held in place by metal tabs across the bottom edge and metal strips along the top edge. The magnets on the iMac chassis pull against the metal strips to hold the glass in place. The metal reinforcement frame of the Lecho glass has an unusually strong pull against the magnets on the iMac so be careful once the top edge of the glass is within 1-2 inches of the iMac because the magnets will snap the glass against the iMac frame with high force. I could not remove this glass without using suction cups.2. If you install the glass and notice that the bottom edge is not flush with the iMac metal chassis near the Apple logo, then this means that the locating pin on the back of the glass is not aligned perfectly with the corresponding notch on the iMac chassis (located at about the mid-point along the lower edge of the glass.) If this happens after first installation, you'll need to pull the glass away and shift the lower edge left or right slightly so that the pin engages the notch fully. A properly installed glass will be flush with the iMac chassis on all four sides and without any gaps between the glass and chassis.I'm very pleased with the exact fit of the Lecho glass. I orginally tried the Willhom glass (also from Amazon) but the rounded corners of that glass did not match perfectly with the iMac chassis corners. The Lecho glass is just a few dollars more but it's worth it for the exact fit like the original iMac factory glass. Very pleased!

πππ so grateful!!!!
Oh my goodness I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. My kids tipped my iMac over on the desk and it landed on a ceramic plate and shattered the screen. It is a mid 2011 so itβs pretty old and I immediately freaked out because I thought replacement glass would be more expensive than the whole unit was worth. (Considering an iPhone screen replacement is easily $100+) But then I searched on YouTube how to replace it and found this listing on amazon. I thought $40 itβs worth a shot. It arrived well packaged in styrofoam, no cracks or chips. The whole installation took less than 5 minutes including removing the old shattered glass which took the majority of the 5 minutes. It was so easy to use my fingernails and a credit card to loosen the old glass, and then the new glass just lines up with metal brackets and snaps into place with magnets. So easy, looks brand new. I highly recommend this product!! I wish I would have gotten a picture of the cracked glass before I took it off but you get the idea.

Made my iMac look new
I purchased an iMac from a classified ad-- you know the ads. The ones where the seller lies and says "selling iMac with broken screen, but that's okay, you can get those replaced for 20 dollars". I purchased the iMac thinking that's how cheap the class was. Repair services wanted to charge me over 120 dollars for labor and a new glass. However, I purchased this item and a child can install it. It has magnets around the edges. All I did was take the plastic off on one side, line it up with the iMac screen and SNAP. It stuck immediately! and, even though it wasn't lined up correctly I just used my finger nails to move it off and readjust it and SNAP, it stuck again! It's more like super power magnets than some sticky tape or glue. So, easy and it looks EXACTLY like my other iMac screens.
