I highly recommend this bike.
My only issue is with Amazon. They delivered without notice 3 days early. It was lucky we were still in as five minutes later we would have been gone. Plus it is still being shown as never left the warehouse! They also sent a 27.5 size instead of the 26 I ordered which really annoyed me as it's for an almost 11 year old. However with it being shown as still in the warehouse neither I nor Amazon customer services can get into the system to return it. That being said I looked at it closely and did some measurements. I found that on this bike the saddle can be 30mm lower than his existing 26" wheel bike due to it being a 17.7" frame rather than the normal 18". Problem solved...it stays. I read the reviews before purchase and I have to say some of those negative reviews are just plain silly i.e. one star for getting a puncture...LOL...no tools so had to pay £45 to have it built. Really, for the sake of a spanner and two Allen wrenches at minimal cost. So it goes on. I am an experienced cyclist of 76 years and built and repaired many, many bikes and this is one extremely nice bike even if it were twice the price. Build quality is excellent, the frame is very sound. Basic running gear but still sound quality. Plenty of scope for modifications and customisation. The tyre/frame clearance is massive so fitting large mud tyres is a definite option. The tyres are universal road/gravel tyres which suits me for our uses. Straight handle bars for easy control but swept backs might be better for the smaller person...easy fix. Pedals are basic but that is very common at this price bracket. Frankly I prefer it that way as pedals, saddle and hand grips are personal fit items which I prefer to choose myself, so all of them will be changed to suit. Still, it doesn't mean you have to do so, it's just a personal thing. Brakes are cable operated discs which are fine when new but I find once the cable has stretched to it's limit they become uncomfortable to apply so with that in mind I will eventually convert to hydraulic disc brakes. It is an inexpensive conversion and well worth the effort. The saddle is a thin lightweight one in common with all MTB's so it remains to be seen his the lad gets on with it. No big deal as I wrote previously. A saddle is a very personal choice and not a valid point of criticism on OEM bikes. It isn't a very lightweight bike but very fair at this price point. All in all this is a solid, beautifully finished bike and any niggly issues are just down to fine tuning in use such as derailleur stops and cable adjustment. I can highly recommend it even at the 27.5" wheel size for the average younger teenager and because of the massive amount of adjustment available it will see them right through to adulthood if they take care of it with regular servicing and maintenance.

Lovely bike for the money
This is a lot of bike for the money. It looks the nuts aswell. I’m no bike enthusiast, but me and the family go for little ride outs 3-4 times a week and it’s perfect. A very slight niggle was that the pictures showed the bike with road tyres but it came with thick treaded off road tyres which are harder work on tarmac where I do most of my riding. I would’ve preferred it to come as shown in the photos but as I said, it’s a small niggle. It was easy to build from the box and the gears and brakes were tuned correctly. Most of the components are quick release, so nice and easy. The styling is good, with various anodised metals and black rims. Overall very happy.

Total rubbish
I ordered this bike it arrived very lateFirst thing the seat and handlebars had to be replaced as they where damaged Amazon didn't helpSecond the brakes failed and almost killed meAmazon still refuse to helpThe gears stopped working all together back and front but still Amazon refuse to helpThe extra metal bikes around the wheels come loose and cause vibration and rattleOver all this is worse bike I have ever. Seen and Amazon will refuse to do anything about it if you tell themWould recommend you buy this or anything from them

Nice bike
This is a really nice bike i don't really use hardtails but it's light the breaks are ok ish the only let down is you can't adjust the front suspension so you have to put up with the vibrations of the road but it took the conversion kit with no problems the one problem was the rotors was slightly bent but new ones was easy to put on i have to put my old saddle on as the one it comes with it kinda hurts in a couple of places but I'm really happy with the bike and I'll make sure people know where i gut it and how it's really good for the price

Great bicycle,
Great bicycle, light weight, But I weigh 12 stone and found the saddle too thin for my weight. Soon rectified that by getting a bit bigger saddle. Next thing was the mud guards are useless, too small, but set of longer ones Soon sorted that.
