It states 2000mg tumeric on front but 250mg under supplement facts Major discrepency? what's up?

Hi, There are two ways to measure the amount-the potency-of product that the consumer is getting. One is the actual physical amount. this is the weight of the active material. the other measurement is the potency of what the consumer is getting. which is how much of the active ingredient the consumer is getting. So if the Turmeric dosage is ground up turmeric than the weight and the potency would be the same. However, this is inherently limited because a gummy is 3 gram and can only have a 10% or so active ingredient. so in the case of the turmeric gummy we would only be able to put in 300mg per gummy. To overcome this, we use turmeric extract which is a concentrated amount of turmeric. In this case the extract ratio is 8 to 1 (8:1) which means that the potency is eight times the weight. so the 125mg of turmeric per gummy is the equivalent as eating 1000mg of actual turmeric. A serving size is 2 gummies and the equivalent of eating 2000mg of turmeric. We believe that the customer is primarily interested in the potency, so this number goes on the front. The supplement facts panel measures herbs by weight so we put the actual weight of the herb extract with an explanation of the conversion.
