We have a very busy Chihuahua cross puppy who is always looking for something to chew or eat, most times it's things he shouldn't be chewing like my furniture or the cats!! I've been purchasing these for over a year now for my 10 lb dachshund. I bought them for him as a puppy to get through teething because I wanted a long lasting, digestible and not smelly dog chew. He also was not interested in eating his kibble while teething, so I wanted something that wasn't filled with a bunch of unhealthy junk for him. It met all of those things, and he fell in love with them! These quickly became his favorite treat/toy, and nothing has surpassed it. It's the only thing that will entertain him for more than 5 minutes, not even a treat filled Kong will do that. He brings his yak cheese everywhere with him and even attempts to carry it out of our apartment on walks. If he can't find it or forgot where he put it, he turns into a mad man hunting it down. I jokingly call it his "emotional support yak cheese." So clearly he loves it, but what about me. Have to agree with my dog, these are good. I bought one other brand in a pinch once, and while it lasted longer, it smelled like smoked cheese. That smell transferred onto every piece of furniture my little guy chewed it on, so I will never buy another brand but Himalayan Dog Chew. These don't smell. They don't leave little hard chunks of yak cheese all over; they do shed minimally but nothing like the other I tried. Now some notes: longevity is mixed; some have lasted weeks and some have lasted a few hours. You ABSOLUTELY MUST keep an eye out for when they get small because like any dog chew, it becomes a choking hazard. You can soak the end piece in water and microwave it to get the puff version, but follow the instructions. If you over soak it, it may burn which is not fun to deal with. If you under soak it, it doesn't quite puff up like it should.

I have a 85 pound dog. I have been looking for reasonably priced yak chews for a while since i was told they are good for their chewing need and last a while, which is practically non-existent for my dog. The Yak Chews were a hit for her, but they did not last long and were smaller than i expected from the picture. I think these would be better for a smaller breed of dog size wise. Will have to see if they make a larger size for my dog. She loved the product!
