Fabulous book, helpful & practical lifestyle tips & gorgeous imagery
This is a beautiful, inspiring and uplifting book. It is full of gorgeous colour photographs, so in addition to containing helpful lifestyle advice, it's a lovely coffee table book (I have the hardback version). Visitors to our house always pick it up and flick through it, and it always prompts a discussion.I had already watched the documentary before I bought the book. Even so, reading the book provided extra detail, and reminded me how simple some of the recommendations are (walk more, eat more legumes and sweet potatoes, be part of your community, etc, etc). This is the type of book that I will dip in and out of regularly. I've struggled throughout my life with my weight, as well as on and off with anxiety and depression. The recommendations in this book are not only to help live a longer life, but also a better quality of life. I can't say I find it easy to stick with nutrition and exercise plans, so I prefer to think of this as a lifestyle plan, and if I incorporate even one or two elements into my daily life, I hope it will help

I’ve watched the show and decided to buy a book also.
I wasnt disappointed with it. I keep my books above my desk, so I often look at them, pick one up and flip thru them. I love this one because it describes what to do to live longer. People from all over the world doing similar things unconsciously to stay fit and live healthy and long lives. It’s fascinating. I’ve already implemented few behaviours like doing a sumo squat when I’m peeling veggies I go down to the floor, or sitting with my legs crossed, or taking the stairs more. I prepare most of my meals from scratch anyway and I already was a pescatarian before watching the show and reading book, so I was happy to confirm my beliefs. I really love Dan’s Instagram profile as well. I’m all over this lifestyle idea 😊

Love It
Great book with some great advice. Even if you take away just one or two things from this book you’ll probably do yourself some good.

Beautiful photography and insights
I saw this book whilst at a spa in Costa Rica and was interested to see that the area I was in was featured in the book. The book is a joy to view and read, perfect also for placing where others can dip into it.

What just works to live a long life
The healthcare industry has its fads of a particular diet, gym and vitamin supplements. Then there endless articles in newspapers and magazines about health. This book looks at locations that have people living the longest in the world and what they are doing. This is based on an observation of the people and most of these people are not doing things that cost of a lot of money in fact most of them may even challenge modern western living. This book is well worth it, consider it as an investment and of course you will need to read it with an open mind.

Wife reading it first, had to buy it
Have had quick look and its impressive. We both saw the Netflix series, mind blowing. So many things rang a bell. This guy knows his stuff. I was already a believer in an alternative living style, so my friends say. I also knew about the Greek (low industrial) vs Japan (high industrial) comparison, where both offer brill life expectancy. Food plays a big part but also lifestyle/attitude. So, its fish and relaxed peaceful island life for me (normally called holidays). We had to buy the book, my wife's working through it, my turn next. Before you think I'm paid to sell this, the answer is no. I just hate junk food, all the additives to make you eat the wrong stuff and the threat to long life and good health. Great piece of work, thanks Dan.
