48 Studies for Oboe (or Saxophone) (Kalmus Edition)

Hard to review a piece of music. I can say it took a very long time to get it. Don't know why. Family member needed for a music college class. Got it the last day of class. Not much good then.

I'm not sure why it's rated so low it is just like the other ferling book if you read the titles of the etudes it should give you an idea of speed because there are no metronome markings but its not an issue for the price it's an outstanding book.

This is an Urtext version of the Ferling Etudes. As such it has no metronome markings as the original did not have them either. The articulations are also what appeared in the original, with suggestions on extending the articulations to places where they were were left blank. The versions many people use like the Southern and Mule editions have tempo marking, dynamics, and articulations added by their respective editors. If you want an original untouched version of the Ferling this is the one to get!

Product description compared this to other available versions. This version is missing metronome marking that are on other editions, it has several errors in the notes (missing sharp signs), articulation marks not on this version that are in previous versions. The cover is nicer, can't judge a book by its cover...

Really bad version, barely have any dynamic mark, just don't buy it!!
