Ok lets just clear up a few things here. Firstly this book is aimed at introducing slide guitar to a player who would like to learn slide guitar technique.The book gives concise examples of how using slide guitar can sound effective and gives a look at incorporating the technique and understanding the phrasing when using slide guitar and how effective a few notes can sound.This book is not a complete waste of time as suggested in the other review if you are willing to learn the concepts and technique of slide guitar and learn how effective slide guitar can be in a piece of music as you can clearly hear this in the example tracks and also there are backing tracks to try each example yourself or to experimentThis book does not promise to learn songs from beginning to end it is purely aimed at learning the concept of slide guitar and technique which the other reviewer has obviously missed.

not going to bother getting into too much detail.. there are no "songs" (as indicated by the title) but rather just really vapid, insipid "licks and riffs" (that sound as inspired as... I don't know, something that is not very inspired at all...); this book is almost a complete waste of time and I learned nothing of use from it other than to never buy another product from "Rikky Rooksby" (whatever the hell a "Rikky Rooksby" is anyway...) pass on this piece of junk. Give your money to a charity.
