Very informative book, lots of great garden designs for all shapes and sizes of garden. Exactly what I was looking for, love it.

Amazing book. Having known nothing about garden design, and having been quoted 1600£ for a design, plus £300 pet sq metres for my small garden in South East London I thought stuff that, buy a book and learn some principles. Excellent info on types of garden, styles, materials and how-to do things, like lay a path or make a pond. Ok, it will not be winning Chelsea, but it has given me some confidence to tackle the job myself, with a landscaper to do the heavy lifting. Basically it's saved me £20k, so thumbs up five stars.

This is inspiring booklets with good references. The detail is very useful. There hints and techniques is great for references.

A great book for my gardening library. Full of inspirational ideas to change an old garden or plan one from scratch. Plenty of practical guidelines and planting ideas. Definitely worth purchasing. The onlything I felt it fell short of was more inspirational plants to use. It was more for the beginner in plant knowledge. But then I am one of those gardeners who always look for the rare or unusual to add a little more interest to my garden.

Really lovely book and a perfect gift for any gardening fan

I really liked the lay out of this book, there are lush photos of gardens and also 2D plans to give you examples of how the gardens were built. There are sections on how to attain co-ordinated borders and there is extensive information on what materials to chose for your particular garden. Sadly this book has given me so many ideas I'm going to have to win the lottery to make them all reality. I've wasted some money on a couple of other garden planning books which weren't very good but I'd advise you to try this one first as it has been the most deatiled in my opinion.

I bought it as a gift and it is very much loved by the recipient. The ideas are fantastic and cover a wide range of possibilities. You don't need a huge space to have a beautiful garden. On the other hand, there are also ideas of how to best utilize the space if you have a large area for gardening as well. A great book for anyone loving gardening.

Bought this for my daughter in law who is studying, landscape design. She was absolutely blown away by the content, and said that it was perfect for her studies and her job. Step by step instructions, purchasing, how to build and maintain. This is an exceptional book for professional development and practical use. Many excellent examples and great illustrations too.
