Killing slugs on the allotment.

I bought this after trying everything I could think of to sort out the slugs.I'd tried copper wire, cigarette ash, broken eggshells, beer traps (I swear this encouraged more!) and copper tape around the pots. I googled best slug treatment and this was top of the list so I got it. I have to be honest, I wish I'd bought it years ago! My hostas are actually hosta-ing this year! The leaves are whole and the flower stems are thick and healthy.I've used it around my fruit plants too and so far, so good. Admittedly I only have strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, but I can confirm they are unmunched so far!

Slugs everywhere, absolutely inundated with them, use this around plants which don't seem to get munched as much but the slugs just keep coming!

Ok so I bought this product because it was pretty friendly and organic. But I didn't know it was so let friendly that was soon as my cats saw it and smelled it, they enthusiastically started chowing down on it with enthusiasm. Not wanting to find two dead cats in the morning we had to dig up all the flower beds where we'd put the slug killer and lay new mulch in an emergency session late at night to protect the cats. Needless to say I didn't expect this and was very annoyed, and worried about the amounts the cats had already ingested. Very very unhappy with this product. As for how effective it is on slugs...who the hell knows because I couldn't leave it down. It's now in the bin. On a positive note the cats were fine. Would I recommend it? Sorry, I couldn't possibly recommend it if I know it attracts animals to eat it, it could be very harmful to them.
