CystoProtek - 120 capsules - Algonot

I am very happy with this product which was recommended by my Doctor to treat Interstitial Cystitis. She told me it might take 2-3 months to take full effect but in my case it is really helping after only a few weeks. In the past I have tried less expensive supplements of each of the components of Cystoprotek but they did not have the same effect and in the end I possibly spent more money on them. This one seems to be both a balanced combination of the necessary ingredients and - according to my Doctor - a good quality of supplement too. IC is such a horrible, painful, exhausting condition and I am grateful that I can afford Cystoprotek as it has definitely helped with the worst symptoms and just the fact of sleeping all night due to reduced pain levels has made me feel human again.

Seems to help but not as much as I had expected, especially for the price! I will stick with less costly solutions.

I've been taking this 3x a day for 10 weeks now and I *think* it's working. Had a really nasty flare up of my IC after overdoing it on coffee, green tea (THE WORST) and alcohol at end of May -- burning pain, urgency, irritation and a feeling of being back to square one after being pretty much in remission from IC for18 months. Started taking this at the beginning of June. Noticed a slight improvement after 4weeks. 10 weeks later, my bladder is much calmer. It's very difficult to say whether it's this that's working or whether my bladder has just calmed down of its own accord - personal reviews are always a bit subjective arent they? What I have noticed is that if I do push the boat out and risk a coffee, my bladder doesn't seem to react quite as badly and the burning/frequency pain doesn't last as long as it would prior to taking these. I plan to continue for 3X a day for the next month or so, cutting down to the recommended 2 after then and will report back as to whether there's been a significant and lasting improvement. I’ve been using this for about 15 yrs with great success. The only thing that has worked for me. But it’s important to persevere. It’s not an instant fix. But for me it’s a lifesaver.

Sorry this stuff made my bladder symptoms much WORSE - increased burning, frequency, and to top it off it really messes your stomach up. Such a shame as i had really high hopes. I persevered with it for a week but my symptoms were noticeable worse after every dose. I stopped taking it and my symptoms got noticeably better.I have read on the ic-network forums that a number of other people, some of which were loyal Algonot product users for years, are finding recent batched of Cystoprotek giving them issues.

Only tried a couple as they upset my stomach so badly.

This product is a life saver. I don't know if I ever had IC but I was in constant pain with my bladder after recurrent bouts of cystitis for years. I managed to end the cycle of infection with D-Mannose (which you must look into if you have recurrent cystitis, it is the only product I know that treats and protects you from infection naturally and with no side effects) but I still had chronic and constant pain similar to the pain you feel when you are infected. If this is you then use this product and my biggest advice is to persevere. You should take 2 X capsules 3 times a day (i.e 6 a day in total) and I didn't start to feel the benefit until about 4 months had passed. But now the pain has all but disappeared (apart from the occasional sting here and there) It naturally repairs the damaged GAG layer of the bladder (which normally protects you from irritants, acidity and pain) The relief is unimaginable. I felt debilitated by this condition as so many poor sufferers do and Cystoprotek alone, gave me my life back. I don't know if it will work the same for every person, but if this sounds familiar to you then please try it. And I hope it ends your suffering as it did mine.

I have been using this product for about 3 weeks now and my symptoms seem to be improving. I will report back in a few months with an update. I now go an average of about 4 to 5 times daily and for the past week I didn't get up to urinate. I take 2 pills twice daily with food. I can now go up to 6 hours before I urinate. I will give it an interim grade of 4 stars. Will review in 2 months.Update on my condition 5 years later .(Jan 2019)I stopped using the product in 2016.I no longer have symptoms of IC. I cannot say with certainty that this is a result of the product. Maybe my bladder healed naturally.For all sufferers out there ,I wish you speedy health and recovery.
