I bought this to replace buttons on a lot of Hawaiian shirts that have popped buttons off in the past.I liked the fact that the little colored rings very nearly matched most of the shirts that I am fixing.I tried to follow the 3 whole pictures that served as instructions. I ended up wrecking two snaps.Then I got on YouTube and found several videos that explain how to use these snaps and the pliers that go with it and once you have it figured out figured out this is a nice set!These snaps feel every bit as sturdy as the snaps on my grand child's onesies and those snaps last for freaking ever!.

I have tried to use these several times finding it much easier to use a base, punch and hammer!

Instructions? Who needs those? No really, the instructions were missing. Luckily, it's easy to figure out.On thin fabric, this works absolutely fantastic. On thicker fabric, the clasps are not thick enough to penetrate so one side or the other will fall off.As for the tool itself, I bent the handle. Once I noticed, I bent it back. The material is not very strong. I recommend only using it on thin cloth.

Great plastic garment snap outfit! Has everthing necessary to install or replace defective plastic garments snaps.

After watching the video I was able to easily install snaps on my projects. Some of them don’t hold up and I need to redo the snap but for the most part they are working great. Much better than the plastic snaps I previously tried. I would recommend and will buy again.

I used it for my outside gazebo curtains, I put them on so I could snap them together.

Hmm where to start. The package arrived damaged, the case was broke and the contents everywhere inside and even stuck to the broken tape on the outside of box.Spent a good hpur trying to organize it in type/colour.There is no instructions, so took a few tries and a YouTube video before I could figure it out right. The product itself works, but a simple sheet with instructions would do a world of good

I almost didn't buy this kit because of all the bad reviews. After purchasing, and using it myself. I was flabbergasted. It was SO EASY to use. I got it literally on the first try. No videos, or anything needed. It's really straight forward, and there is printed instructions right in the box. I'll get good use out of this set, as I've been making clothes for my children. Love it!!!You literally just load the halves into the pliers and press shut. Give a lil squeeze, and they're on there sooooo good. I gave em a lil tap with a hammer just to be extra sure.

The product works great!I know that applying snap buttons can be quite tricky if you are doing it for the first time.I used to have a very nice professional one before moving to Canada, which I couldn't bring with me because it was made of cast iron, so heavy! And still, it can be tricky to align the button parts well.But If you make sure to go through the fabric before using the pliers, placing this part with the fabric already trespassed and aligning the two pieces well (I like to hold it in place carefully while making sure the pliers are closing the right way) there are no issues with the functioning. I got it wrong a few times, and carefully removed it with jewellery making flat pliers.Buttons are smaller than my previous set, but as I wanted it for baby clothes, they are just fine.I haven't washed the clothes I made yet, I am hopeful the buttons will be rust free, but can't give a say on that yet.

The snaps do work when you can get everything all lined up but the punch tool does not align both sides nicely. I have wasted and had to redo many snaps due to the tool not lining the sides up perfectly. I would imagine there have to be better options out there.

little pieces of metal fall off the pliers when you use them; there are NO instructions; the plastic parts that are supposed to hold the snaps fall off when you finally land one; after landing one, none of the other snap parts hold the snaps and it's impossible to tell how to reinsert the plastic parts. Really really cheaply made. The snaps look nice though but definitely not the pliers.
