Girl in Pink

I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. It is adorable and yes, small. However, I feel like it will be the perfect size for her. I added a great value water bottle for size. Opening the package was easy. It is held down by the plastic tags but none of them were attached to the baby or its clothes. I pre-opened the package for convenience for her birthday and it repackaged easily. If my daughter does become attached to it I do like the fact it's small enough I can toss it in the diaper bag without shoving. It seems to be of good quality, the clothes are softer than a dollar store dolls would be and I didn't notice any off-putting smell or off gassing but also I didnt go inhaling the thing so don't quote me on that if your sensitive to that sort of thing.

I have been searching for a doll for my son for a long time now. We have North American Bear Company Rosy Cheeks Baby Blonde Boy which he kinda likes (and is a nice doll), but prefers 'real' looking dolls. I love this doll for a few reasons. First, it is a BOY! I am sad that JC Toys doesn't make a JC Toys La Baby - Colors May Vary (Blue, Pink, Purple) boy version (they no longer make the blue I called) or the JC Toys Lots to Cuddle Twins (Expressions May Vary) with a boy color. I called and they said they have at times carried 'boy' dolls, but their biggest seller is pink. I would just like for my son to have the option. Second, the quality is undeniable. The details are beautiful, the eyes are striking and best of all not made in china (the vinyl is made in Spain) This doll also appears to be very durable (which after already being through a sandbox is important in out house.) Third, is the size. Yes, some people would say this is a down fall, but personally I love that my two year old and one year old can easily carry, cuddle, drag and sometimes even undress this doll. Larger dolls are more difficult for little people to play with. Think of it this way my one year old is only 29" tall, if I got him a 16" doll that would be comparable to a woman who was 5"5" carrying a baby that was 3 ft tall (basically a 2 1/2 year old) Do able, but not the easiest (or most fun) thing in the world. 9.5" to his 29" is like a one month old to a 5'5" person. Totally comfortable. For a larger child I would get a larger doll (just take their height and multiple it by .35 for a good ratio) Fourth, My sons love it. They both call it 'baby' and are sweet with it. I will say for those expecting differently, their play is not like my nieces. They like the baby, but will cuddle and care for the baby one second, then dump sand or leave the baby some odd place the next (just lacking that maternal instinct lol) There was no smell to our doll so that wasn't an issue. I do however wish we could pick expressions because I would consider getting a second if I knew it would be different (which if you buy directly from JC toys you can but Amazon is cheaper). Overall, I think this is a great doll and I will buy again for friends and family.

Bought because it was the only brown eyed baby doll. Its very, very cute. So realistic and right sized for a small child.

This doll is great. I don't know why it has any reviews less than 5 stars. The packaging is suitable for gifting. The doll is 9.5" as advertised, which is small and for me that just added to the charm of it. The outfit is adorable and there weren't any holes in the fabric because of the way it was attached to the box. I love this little doll.

I bought two of these dolls because there are three diffrent expressions and I thought I would have a better chance of getting a good expression. I was going to give one to my granddaughter for x-mas however, the doll is tiny. I know it clearly states that the dolls are 9 1/2 inches but I should have spent the money and gotten the larger size. Size wise it is going to be hard to find clothes to fit and making my own clothes might turn out to be very frustrating. The first thing I did too when I got the dolls was to check and see if they were really girls and they really are but in the process of taking the clothes off the doll, the hat fell off and the doll had a huge dent in it head from being wired too tightly to the display cube in the box. I guess it had been pressed into that cube for so long that it put a dent in the head. So I opened up the other box and that doll had a dent in its head too though it wasn't quite as pronounced as the first doll. Its been several days since I took them out of the box and now the heads seem to have gone back to their normal condition. I don't know if anyone has had this same problem but I sure didn't want to send them back so I was glad the heads filled back out. That is the only reason for giving them 4 stars instead of 5. They really are cute little dolls, just very small..

This doll is adorable, but it is very tiny! We ended up returning it for a 15" doll for a 2-year-old. We did stick with the same company, however, because these dolls are very detailed and pretty. They're all good choices--just be sure you think carefully about the size. Also, be aware that these dolls have vinyl bodies rather than cloth, so they aren't squishy-huggable. Again, that's not a problem, but make sure that's what you're looking for.

I was shocked by the size! I have never seen a doll of this size. It will be perfect for my 1 year old. She will love the doll because it is small enough for her to be able to carry her without worrying about dropping her. Great doll!

A very cute little doll with lifelike features. I almost bought the boy version by mistake for my granddaughter. Be advised there are male and female versions of this doll that look very similar. They are anatomically correct. These dolls are a bit pricey but worth the extra money. I am very happy with the purchase and my 3 yr old granddaughter loves her baby!
