I've been through a few, one cheaper version which initially worked, but ate through batteries and quickly fell apart, one i-pod specific version which was returned due to poor sounds quality and the in car charger not working.So if like me you have searched high and low for a decent transmitter, look no further, this is the one you want.Good Points1. East to tune, one touch will find a suitable band and display the frequency for you. when you tune the radio to the correct frequency it displayed TUNECAST.2. Very Good sound quality on normal mode. If you go for pro or pro 2 mode then the signal is compressed for greater clarity (like all FM radio stations do)3. USB port on the back of the in car charger so you can also charge your phone (cable not provided)4. Unit is all in one part, no hunting about for seperate charger etc (though i guess this could be a problem if the charger breaks)5. Good range, you don't have to stick it to specific area of the cabin for it to work.6. IT WORKS!Bad Points1. It works pretty well.Like several other reviewers, I have suffered from some interference and it needs to be retuned on long journeys. Its worse in very built up areas due to number of radio stations. My wife really likes it and listens to podcasts on the way to & from work. I am less impressed, because the audio quality is poor; you need to set the volume on the ipod to middle, or the sound will distort horribly, but then it's not all that loud (love to listen to loud rock music on my own in the car!). Also there is audible hiss and/or interference during quiet parts of the music.Positives: Low cost. Easy to use. Long cable, so easy to place phone in convenient location. Will charge phone if you keep your USB cable in the car (or buy another). Finds a suitable frequency.Negatives: slow to scan for frequency. Prone to interference. Poor sound quality.Conclusion: Not for hi-fi buffs, but a good value solution if you're not that fussy about audio quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to get music into the car and the car radio system *by G***6 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 July 2011* Whilst an increasing number of cars are now featuring car audio systems that include one form of iPod or mp3 connectivity or another, neither of our cars currently have this. My wife has an iPhone 4 and she has the next model up in the Belkin range which has a dedicated Apple connector. This allows the phone to charge (via the cigarette socket) and also allows the phone to download radio information about the area you are in to aid finding unused airspace and also allows the phone to control some aspects of the radio. The Belkin works really well. In fact, it works so well, I decided to buy something similar for my car. I have my music on an iPad Nano, so don't have the ability to download or connect in the same way as an iPhone. When I checked out the range, I decided on this model. It doesn't have the Apple connector and so doesn't charge out of the box and connects to the iPod via the headphone socket. It is still powered and needs to plug into the cig lighter socket. The benefit here is that this connector has a USB slot built in, so if I am on an extended journey, I can use my ordinary iPod Apple charger cable with it. However, the iPod lasts for days and so is hasn't presented a problem. At the end of the day, this model still does the same job of getting the music from the music player out over the radio. It does it equally well. In essence, it finds an empty bit of the airwaves and transmits the music from your music player on this frequency. You simply tune the car radio to the same frequency and there you have it. Both have a number of settings that may make a difference in some circumstances.
