Stalogy 365 Days notebook A5, by Nitcoms

Excellent diary/notebook. In my opinion, it is even better than the Hobonichi and at half the price and bigger size, there is no contest for me. I use a fountain pen and the paper, which is lovely and thin, has almost no show-through and no bleeding, even with deep shades and a wet line. The downside is that the days and dates are in such a minute font, and a very pale grey, which makes them almost unreadable and pointless, so I write the date at the head of each page instead. If you like using the planning options within the Hobonichi, which are excellent, then this does not have those options and will not be for you. I absolutely love it!!

The first thing to say is that if you are one of those people who is disturbed by the ghosting in a Leuchtturm1917 notebook or a Hobonichi then stay away from this and look at notebooks by Scribbles That Matter or Perfectly Penned (for example). I don't mind ghosting at all, in fact, I enjoy it as long as it isn't too heavy. I'd put the ghosting in Stálogy as somewhere between the that of the Leuchtturm and the Tomoe River paper in the Hobonichi Techo and Cousin -- that makes it perfectly OK for me. I'm pretty sure that it's neither of the two grades of Tomoe River paper that are usually available -the 68gsm used by Taroko or the 52gsm in the Hobonichi -- but it's still a very high quality lightweight paper and a delight to write on. I prefer the lighter paper in the Stálogy to the 80 or 90gsm papers by Clairefontaine, Rhodia or Midori although each of these companies makes excellent fountain pen paper with minimal ghosting I have used a range of fountain pens and inks in it but not sharpies or water colours. There are reviews on YouTube of people using water colours and the paper seems to hold up pretty well -- at least as well as in a Hobonichi. Unlike some of the other notebooks mentioned: Leuchtturm, Perfectly Penned, or Scribbles That Matter, the Stálogy doesn't have marker ribbons or an elastic band to hold it closed, nor does it have a storage pocket, but it fits perfectly in an A5 Kokuyo Systematic cover which does have ribbon markers, pockets and a closure band: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kokuyo-notebook-systemic-accessory-Bruno-655A-1/dp/B001J5PC6M/ref=sr_1_18_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1543097442&sr=8-18&keywords=kokuyo+systemic+refillable+notebook+cover The Stálogy 365 is slightly thinner than the Leuchtturm but has 368 pages compared to the Leuchtturm's 252. One downside of the Stálogy is that it doesn't have numbered pages so that's something to bear in mind. The dating system and the 24hr schedule are too small/faint to be useful to me, so I just write over them but they could annoy people who want a clear page. I love it!

Really like this notebook. I like the thin pages, which makes the book much lighter to hold and carry about. I don’t mind in the least that there is ghosting when using a fountain pen. I am using this A5 stalagy as my everyday journal and, as it has 368 pages, it will last for a whole year before I have to replace it. Therefore it is actually quite good value for money. Would highly recommend this notebook to anyone wanting a thick but lightweight book in which to write.

Perfect for my art journalling the ink and water colour doesn't bleed through the pages so I'm sure I'll be buying another one next year

Mrs Picky-about-paper-since-age-5 here. (61 now). This is the bomb. It’s an absolute delight to use. I absolutely love it. It lays flat, which is just how it should be. It’s beautiful to write on. I’m in notebook heaven and won’t be returning.

Perfect for business notes and planning as Ivan assign a date at the top of each page. Wonderful quality fine paper.

The A5 stalogy is a well known and popular brand of quality notebook and deserves 5 🌟, however a stalogy that arrives damaged is unacceptable given the cost and this is why I have given it 3 🌟. I was so looking forward to receiving my 1st stalogy and am so disappointed that it is not in pristine condition

It is. Without question the best writing paper even. Way thinner than my previous preferred notebook paper; sorry Midori, you're done. 99% no ghosting when using an extra fine nib and a full 90% ghostless even when using a medium nib. Smooth writing. Zero feathering or bleed. When using pencil the paper is resistant enough to take repeated erarure and remain clean.

I’m really enjoying the Nitoms S4101 STALOGY 365 Days Notebook. The white-tone paper is smooth and the A5 size is perfect for everyday carry. I use it for life tracking, and the square grid makes layouts and habit logs easy. The craftsmanship feels high quality, it lies quite flat, and at around $20 it’s a great value, cheaper than a Hobonichi planner, so you can build your own planner/tracker style without paying premium prices. Cons: the paper is thin, ink rarely bleeds, but there’s noticeable show-through (ghosting), and highlighters can bleed. Overall, a pleasure to use and a smart budget-friendly alternative for custom planning. Recommended.
