No more drips
So far so good. Was having a real problem with dripping from my extraction fan since changing the ducting to a thin replacement which in turn was causing the steam to turn to water before it reached the exit. This is decent quality and seems to deal with my issue well. Note: wear gloves when handling the insulation insideVery good value for money

Deffo recommend
Two day delivery was spot on. It’s great quality and would certainly buy again. The layers are pretty robust for foil.Tips...It really is compressed so don’t open until you need it.Cut to length with a Stanley knife and snipe the wire coil with pliers. Cuts easily. The insulation is proper fibreglass so wear gloves. I didn’t at first until I had bits stuck in my fingers and I soon put a pair on.

Good quality product, which is easily fitted.
I've now bought a few of these lengths for different properties, and feel I can give a review based on experience. The ducting comes in a box, which I recommend you keep it in. This stuff will spring out, and become a real pain to store otherwise. The other skin is pretty tough if it is installed and left alone. it won't tear easily, but frequent movement could wear it out faster. The insulation is a rather scratchy glass fibre, which works well at preventing condensation on the sides of the ducting. This reduces the amount of dust that becomes stuck to the inside and improves airflow. The ducting is more likely to collapse on tight bends, unlike its uninsulated vinyl alternatives. However, this can be overcome with forethought in your layout.Cutting to length is straightforward with a utility knife, and a pair of wire cutters for the reinforcing spiral. I would recommend using aluminium ducting tape to secure the duct to other components (NOT DUCT/GAFFA/DUCK TAPE!).

Replace a damaged area
I live in a new build and the builders hadn't fitted the existing extractor pipe correctly(too short and taped on with electrical tape) and it had pulled away for the vent and unwound. This was easy to replace with this product although had trouble fitting it over the vent outlet (which looked larger than the 102mm diameter so used an in line adaptor so that I could fit the pipe over easily. At least removed the poorly fitted pipe fitted by the builders and it works fine and at a reasonable cost.

Great product
This has a 100mm (4") internal sprung metal foil duct, covered with fibreglass insulation and an outer foil. I installed this above my bathroom ceiling, connecting a vent in the bathroom ceiling via a vent axia inline fan to a 4" backdraught stopper and a pipe to the outside (with a flap vent). I've not had any issues with condensation coming back down the duct..
