Cord may be difficult to hide
A nice fit for our home. A heavy as the unit was, it went up just fine with dry wall anchors. Hiding the cord has been a problem for us, but I will likely cut a channel in the dry wall at some point. Operation is pretty straight forward. There are images on each remote button. Heating does fine, we actually used it as a backup when our furnace was starting to have issues. Not super noisy, but you can tell when it's on. Could use a more natural lighting effect, but it's by no means bad. We have been quite pleased. Once I find a way to hide the cord, I'm sure my wife will be completely satisfied. Prive point felt fair. It came with glass beads and logs, she decided on the logs. You could switch back and forth by taking the front glass off. That would probably take 5 minutes.

Great product with some mods not for the faint-of-heart
Very happy with this LED fireplace. Happier still after I made some mods (which are not recommended because it most-definitely voids the warranty. But for the price… I was willing to take the chance. The unit I bought was supposedly a wall-surface unit and not meant to be recessed. But, strangely-enough, the black housing had both on-wall and in-wall brackets attached to it. So I figured… what the hell. I think if it was surface-mounted, it’d look like an after-thought install. So I ditched the back-mounted bracket which, by itself, weighs a thousand pounds (or there abouts). All of a sudden, the unit was half the weight advertised (I’m exaggerating of course… but not by much). The install was only as complicated as I made it. Could have taken some shortcuts but I’m “not big” on those cuz they eventually bite you in the @$$.Being a surface-mount unit, the temperature sensor is on the right hand side just above the on/off rocker switch… both of which causes problems if the unit is recessed… because you no longer have access to those items. So I mounted an on/off toggle switch on the front of the unit (there’s room to drill the hole in the right-side extension of the white metal “ear” on the bottom of the unit. But not knowing, for sure, what the little black bulb was (and I still think it’s the temp sensor), I didn’t relocate that. My particular installation provides plenty of ambient room air behind the fake wall so that the temp sensor can get pretty-accurate readings even though the unit is recessed. The biggest annoyance was that the motor that turns the horizontal rod of about 60 tiny mirrors (that make it look like the flames are dancing) never shuts off. There’s no on/off switch for that feature. And there should be. The motor that drives that rod is small… and subject to relatively-early demise. So I spliced into the power wire that feeds that motor and installed a push-button on/off switch on the lower-left white “ear”. So now I can stop that motor from running anytime I want. The LED lights still cycle through as normal… but the flames don’t dance. It’s actually much more calming. The speed of the motor that turns the 60 mirrors is too fast… without a doubt. So the “fire” doesn’t look real.I’m going to look into a rheostat option. That is… replacing the push-button on/off switch for the flames with a variable-speed knob… including on/off. That way I can determine the speed of the flames.Like I said… these mods are not for the faint-of-heart. But they changed a typical LED fireplace into something quite wonderful.Regarding the inability to order a spare remote control:Buy a cheap programmable remote… and program it to emulate your factory remote. It worked great. I bought the CHUNGHOP RM-L7 Learn Remote for about 2 cents (or maybe it was $13). Not enough buttons on it to replicate the two “lock” buttons on the factory remote… but I don’t really care about them anyway. If those buttons are important to you… just buy a bigger “learn remote”. Totally worth the expense and effort. Cuz if your factory remote fails (or you lose it)… you’re basically screwed… remotely speaking.Hope you enjoy your unit as much as I do. Sorry… I mean “LED fireplace unit”.

wow
This fireplace has truly captured my heart; it radiates warmth and features stunning colors that enhance the ambiance of my home. My husband crafted a beautiful fireplace that perfectly supports my TV, and I couldn't be happier with it. It has dramatically transformed my living room, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that impresses every guest who visits. The compliments I receive from friends and family only affirm how much this addition has elevated my space.

Beautiful, well protected for ship, easy install
Honestly…Wasn’t sure if this was gonna work for me or not. I wall mounted, (not flush with wall)….live in mill buildings with giant ass walls. Was heavy to haul up but WORTH IT! Packaged perfectly so it couldn’t be damaged. Bracket install was simple, if you can run a tape, lol. Then, you just drop the unit on, perfect. Display is, actually nicer than it looks in add photos. (I was worried it’d look fake). It doesn’t! Its actually beautiful! Heat vents are in front, awesome! So, it shoots straight out. I wanted to put some plants underneath, wasn’t sure if it would cover heat vents, nope! For me, anyhow…it’s pretty perfect.I don’t have a lot so this was a BIG purchase for me and I gotta say…I DO NOT regret it at all. All functions work great, NO noise (I dunno what other reviews were talkin’, maybe got a bad one. Anyway, YEAH! Highly recommend!

Expect scratches from preinstalled Log, really noisy after months.
First unit I ordered came with plastic “Log” preinstalled inside fireplace. Replacing Log for Crystals meant disassembling entire unit. While swapping I noticed deep scratches left on flame effect screen from preinstalled log. Amazon was great about letting me exchange unit.Replacement unit still had scratches from same situation but I was able to minimize the appearance with crystals. Now, I am about two months in and the flame effects wheel sounds like a jackhammer whenever it is turned on. Hoping Amazon or manufacturer sees this review since they already exchanged it once for me. For everyone else, I would keep on looking elsewhere. Real talk.
