Great product. This is my preferred choice of protein. I have been using this for some time now and I do notice I recover much quicker from training when I take this. I love the ingredients in this product and as I am not a fan of animal based protein products this ticks all my boxes. The new formula is not grainy but it does froth up a bit more. I often just mix with water and its fine in texture and taste. I only wish it came in a bigger economy pack. As it doesn't have any artifical sweetners or added sugars you may not find it as sweet as some of those other products on the market but for me the content is more important so it doesn't bother me. Arguably the best vegan protein powder on the market. Only downside is serving's have reduced while price hasn't and sometimes it goes up too high in price to be economical. When that happens I have to buy sun warrior or bulk powders vegan protein, but garden of life plant based protein is my number 1 without a doubt

Healthy
Having used lighterlife shakes for a while to lose weight, I wanted to have something similar that was more healthy. The Raw Organics brand hits the bill. It does have that sprouted bean taste if you don't doctor it a bit, it is also a lot cheaper per serving than the lighterlife. So I add:stevia50g frozen spinach50g frozen avocado1 tbsp. flaxmixed frozen peppers750 ml waterIf you want more fat add 1 tbsp. of MCT or Coconut OilBlitz in my Ninja, and it tastes fantastic and seriously healthy. This will keep me hunger free for hours.

Very expensive compared to the serving amount.(taken twice a day, the protein will last 1 week only)
i was sceptical at first however, love this protein. As a vegan I was shopping around and found this. Unlike other proteins this is very smooth with no awful taste like you get with whey proteins. There is no need to mix the powder in a blender, all i use is a shaker cup. I have mine with Almond milk and it tastes great. My only issue is the price. I like to wait until this goes down to around £25. When taking the protein twice a day the carton lasts only 1 week, making £35 very expensive for the quantity. To be honest £25 is still expensive. Nevertheless, it tastes really good and i would recommend it to not only those who are on a plant based diet but everyone who needs that added protein in take. hopefully, Garden of life will start selling bigger bags or containers. Another thing that was annoying there's more container then protein powder literally a joke.

My favourite protein powder I have tried thus far
My favourite protein powder I have tried thus far. My tummy does not tolerate most grains and legumes prepared by conventional means whatsoever, they have to be sprouted or fermented and I don't always have the time/preparation skills to sprout things and fermented products like tempeh are too expensive to eat enough of everyday. This is just such an easy way to get a big dose of protein in my breakfast/lunch that doesn't hurt my insides, make me massively bloated or gassy. Keeps me full (sometimes even too full!), super satisfied and provides me with a LOT of energy.PSBest smoothie/milkshake ever = banana, half an avocado, 1 tbsp nut butter, 1 tbsp maca, 1 tbsp raw cacao, 1/2 - 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 scoop of this protein powder and as much almond milk as you needed to get your prefered consistency.

Great tasting shake
I made a shake with 1 scoop of the protein powder, 1 ripe banana and 1 tbs cacao powder. Added around 10 ozs water and blended it in a blendtec. Fantastic taste, quite sweet. Texture was lovely, had no chalkiness or aftertaste. Rich and smooth (a ripe banana helps)Really great after a yoga session and snack when I'm hungry and need something quick. It's the first time I've tried a protein powder and I'm really pleased I bought this.Cutting back on animal protein has been hard so this is a great help.

Im sorry - but no! Texture = Chalk Dust
I researched and researched this product for a while before purchasing and I still knew it was a bit of a risk and sadly one that did not pay off.Im fine with flavours not being the greatest you cant expect miracles when something is meant to be this 'healthy' for you; but I get completely put off if the texture is difficult - and this is CHALKY to say the least. Its awful, seriously, its so chalky despite blending it in various things, with ice or without - using half the required amount of powder or the full.I couldnt even get it down because it sticks in my throat similar to the feeling of a fishbone poking you! Its that dramatic when you consider the full 300-500 mls infront of you!!Its sadly going to go to waste in my house, as noone else can force it down either - its so bizzare!

It's not all rosy in the Garden of Life...
I wanted to like this, I really did but I couldn't...I will say from the outset that I both wanted and needed a milk free protein powder. As a cow's milk allergy sufferer it is almost impossible to find a flavoured protein powder which does not contain cow's milk. I was also keen to find something organic. I had tried pea protein before but it was certainly an acquired taste and one which was almost impossible to disguise in drinks and smoothies (which is primarily how I would have liked to have used it). Crucially, it was also very chalky/powdery and steadfastly refused to blend and/or dissolve fully in liquid no matter what ratio of powder to liquid/liquid ingredients that I used. This protein powder seemed to meet my requirements and then some! Not only organic and flavoured but also vegan. It certainly smelt nice but when I tried it, it had the same issues as the pea protein I had used previously. A strong taste which I did not find palatable and a chalky/powdery texture which stubbornly refused to dissolve properly. Again, I tried a variety of liquids and fruits and different ratios but I always found pockets of undissolved powder in my smoothies. Perhaps I would have been less aggrieved about this if I could tolerate the taste.I have practically all of the tub left. Not to mention a ton of pea protein as well! This is proving to be an expensive endeavour. Oh well, on with the search for the perfect organic, vegan/non cow's milk protein powder.
