Good batteries which last a good while on a charge. Don't let them sit discharged though - needed this replacement as my 1.5 year old battery had died and wouldn't charge as it was allowed to run completely flat.

Best replacement for AA battery packs that drive powered shades. Holds charge for extended periods - I have tested them up to three months without charging. Also very easy to install.

Much better than having to replace the individual lithium batteries, this only requires charging after several months

You have to pay Somfy for the usefulness of the product (these are overpriced for what they do). I'm an older guy and I didn't want my spouse, when I'm gone to struggle with the battery changes on our electric blinds. So, here's the solution. These units will work. To keep from mounting them, instead, I put a decorative Ikea shelf over each window (4). My wife gleefully shopped for nice pictures for the kitchens (2) and made the kitchens pretty. Here's where this Somfy rechargeable unit fits in... it can also just lay on the the Ikea shelf, out of sight. When the battery needs recharging, just unplug and charge it. When done, place it back on the shelf and plug it in. Simple... even us older folks can do it. That's one more thing that I won't have to "worry" about if I become disabled (it's more strenuous to do as you age). If you're young, healthy and strong, you can still used the tubes (which are connected in parallel to last two years instead of one).

Good choice to eliminate batteries.
