Well, I did play the cello in 14 days.....
I decided to start learning the cello to keep my son company - he wanted to learn the violin. I have never played an instrument before and cannot read music. At age 63, I certainly didn't expect to be able to play the cello in 14 days, if at all. However, even though I didn't stick to the amount of lessons suggested per day, I think I probably did the same amount of lessons over about 6 weeks. I would not say I could now play the cello (think cat being strangled sounds) but I'm on my way and, by the end of the course, I can play one or two easy tunes without being forbidden the house. This isn't a book for children starting out (I bought one of those as well) but it is helpful and gets you started.

Not as easy to read as they say. Not used it.
Too complicated and not what I expected as a novice. No pictures of the fingerboard and scales but music tab pages.Used something else to start learning with.
