Tidlo The Oldfield Farm

A present for my grandson's birthday and it did not disappoint. A realistic and robust wooden toy that was straightforward to put together and one that I know will provide many hours of imaginative play for future grandchildren too. We live surrounded by farms with sheep, cows, horses and chickens and so it is just perfect!Although the corner of the base plates arrived slightly damaged, Vanessa in Customer Service responded promptly and having seen photos of the damage, sent out new replacement base plates straight away. Most impressed. I already have a few other products from Bigjigs Toys in mind!

I bought this wooden farm for my 4 year old as he requested one for his birthday. It is a great farm and easy to put together. It is a good size without being too big and is well made. However the base is in two pieces which don't have anything to hold them together and I thought there would be some kind of slots to just help keep the barns/house in place but there isn't. As a result it gets easily knocked out of place when set up which is frustrating for me and my son. The base could do with either being a folding one or magnets which hold it together.

very pleased - good quality - worth the price in my view as it looks like it will last. Roofs come off for easier access inside which is good.You need to buy animals and people separately which looked expensive when I first looked but if you spend a bit of time looking around then you can find some at reasonable prices e.g we found a set of 12 animals to be getting on with for about £10 I think it was - I'm sure you could pay less if you looked around the shops yourself but we didn't have much time! We already had 2 small tractors which go well with it - just need to find a farmer now!Bought for 3 year old for Xmas and he seems very happy with it - has been playing with it quite a lot and likes talking to all the animals!

I bought this for my son's 3rd birthday I assembled this today and thought for £40 it's was a lovely item, one of the best things I've had from amazon, the quality is beautiful and as a 30 something female I found it easy to assemble!! Well done amazon think this will be a fab birthday present....

Lovely toy which will give hours of imaginative play. You have to buy the animals and people as well though, otherwise there are just empty buildings and not so much play potential. That pushes the price up considerably, but taken together the set is full of character and will give happiness for years. My rating is for the whole set together. I also bought the tractor which adds further to the set and the price, but it is harder to find and may be discontinued.

Rather disappointed.Not a particularly good toy. Mine was so much better 60 years ago which I had enjoyed so much, I wanted my 3 year old grand son to do the same ,but alas a hard piece of equipment for us to play with.The roof does not stay in place,although meant to be detachable, frequently falls off and the hay loft ladder does not stay in place. The duck pond is too small for any thing to go on it and the fencing does not fit the fields. Rather expensive for product.
