It’s ok… but: 1- the cold shoe isn’t really standard and doesn’t accommodate some accessories that would otherwise fit on a cold shoe (Saramonic lav mic for example) 2- the volta doesn’t deliver enough power to charge the GoPro while it’s recording. If you make a long recording the battery will still drain and you will run out, so make sure you still buy extra batteries if you’re planning a day of recording, or plan for long breaks to give the Volta time to effectively recharge the GoPro.

My third go pro, have been generally happy with them all so far but first hike, 1 week after receiving it got water logged when in shallow water, not even diving down.... 2 months later finally got a reply from go pro, still not resolved - will update if someone positive happens. Regretting not going for the DJI this time round

This fantastic all-round product works great as an action camera, but also doubles as a handy vlogging camera for those on the go. The GoPro is rugged, waterproof, and perfect for those who love to travel or engage in extreme sports. It has a good battery life and can quickly charge up to 80% from 0. The camera boasts additional features, such as 2.3k slow-mo, 5.3k video capabilities, water resistance up to 15m, shockproof construction (as expected with a GoPro), timelapse, and nightshift mode. As well as lots of advanced setting features for serious videographers like 10-Bit. All these features make it perfect for capturing and creating quick, high-quality content on the go. The GoPro easily outshines its predecessors and competitors, such as DJI, regarding video quality. The GoPro app is also very intuitive and enables quick video-making on the go. It can auto-upload files to the cloud (when connected to WiFi) and format the drive so that space is always available on your SD card. This is a big plus since phones tend to clog up storage space. I believe action cameras such as the GoPro have considerable potential to reach the new vlogging generation and replace their bulky DSLRs and phones. This is due to the camera's durability, size, waterproofing, and stabilization factor, which vlogging cameras and phones can't match. Plus, it offers all the bells and whistles you could want. Overall, this is a fantastic product that we highly recommend, especially considering its price point.
