Simplicity & brilliance at its best. Great Value, Station
Absolutely superb radio that has great sound and tunes immediately to the stations that my majestic radio lost; Talksport, Talksport 2, Times etc. Instruction Manuel easy to follow and tune and save favourites to presets 3 year Guarentee and charges quickly with the supplied plug with great battery life between charges. Faultless and great value for the price range. Simplicity and brilliance at its best

Fabulous little radio
So pleased with my new radio, easy to preselect favourite most listened stations, good sounds, light portable, what I really love, is that it's mains charged and also charges the radio when plugged in, gives +4 hours off a charge.to top it off, radio looks chic in oak.very very pleased with new radio and happy to be back with dab+

Amazing Azatom B1
This all-round amazing radio has it all, DAB - FM - Bluetooth pairing mode still to try. I brought this Azatom for the Premiership football ⚽ as the local BBC stop's board casting their coverage of games over the internet but not FM/DAB hence this radio B1. Excellent build quality, saying that the Ariel is very long and a little too easy to bend when closing down but honestly I have no need to extend beyond halfway, very easy to set up and operate and most importantly the sound is amazing, I tested the speak on full on a music station and very little disruption to the sound and when radio is on a football or cricket 🏏 commentary again is so clear at any level 🎚️ this portable/solid and easy to use radio with excellent 👌 sounds will not disappoint and most importantly brilliant value. Update on battery life, yes could be a little better on DAB but you can charge battery 🔋 and listen to radio 📻 at the same time.

This little radio is amazing!
This is my second Azatom, the other being the Azatom D2 Multiplex which I've had for just over 2 years and am very impressed with it. This little Solo B1 arrived today and I had it set up in a couple of minutes. The five preset buttons on top of the radio are extremely useful and more than adequate for the number of stations I listen to. But what surprised me most of all is the sound quality - it's excellent, with vocals being crisp and clear on Radio 4 and listening to Classic FM is equally enjoyable. It punches well above its weight for such a small and highly portable radio with a sub 35 pound price tag.I have yet to find out the battery life as it's still on charge (no information about this in the instructions that I can see), so will add to my review once It's fully charged and tested. So now that I've had it for a few days I can confirm that listening to this radio with 4 bars of volume level (good enough for background listening) has given me 14 hours playtime before the charge level dropped to one bar. Brilliant!

Garbage - Really poor sound & DAB
I have to say this looks OK - The build quality looks OK but thats where the good points end.The DAB very often will not find any stations - This has nothing to do with where I live or where the radio is placed, as all my other radios work fine. The worst part about it though is the sound quality when you play any mp3 player through the Aux port - It seems to play at varying speeds and the sound is nothing short of abysmal. If you are thinking of purchasing this don't - Just find something else

Not a 4 - maybe 3.5 and a little nearer to 3 due to customer service.
It comes down to what you want - if its good budget value then this is fine - its not amazing as there is plenty of choice at this price but its fine. Here are my summary points:Sound is a little thin for music but its good for voice. I dont think the competition is going to be any better.5 presets really like and easy to set and use.Easy of use - pretty straight forward as a radio - I didn't try the alarms.Looks - Its not high end but its nice enough though a little plastic ish,There isn't a mains charger as pictured - just a USB-A to USB-C cable.I returned it as the battery seem to drop in charge overnight. I tested it and It did do 10 hrs solid. But it seemed to drop over night on a few occasions. So I sent it back. Its possible I had a faulty battery and I will read the reviews once built up.I did email their customer service and no response. This is why it gets a 3.

Over all this D.A.B radio offers very good value for money, it is intuitive to use, with the ability to set up and store 20 D.A.B stations, and 20 F.M stations independently of each other, with quick and easy access to either. There are two alarms that can be set with the choice of radio or buzzer to wake you, the alarms fade up to a maximum volume set by you, which is a nice option to have. Both F.M and D.A.B work very well, with clear sound, battery life I have found to be good considering the amp/hour of the built in battery, if you can get the station you want, and can hear it clearly in F.M, then stick to F.M, battey life is always going to be better using F.M due to there being no need to to put the signal through a D.A.C first. Having said that, I was impressed with the length of time the D.A.B was able to run, I got more than 5 hours, you can probably double that with F.M.The radio charges and runs via the now ubiquitous type C U.S.B, and is able to charge and play back in unison, which means that if you want to extend it's operating time in battery mode, you can simply plug in asmall power bank and easily triple your play back time. The radio also comes with a very easy to register extended warranty, and is in my opinion the best value to perfomance to features currently avaible. So if you're looking for a small D.A.B/F.M portable radio, that has a good feature set, along with an intuitive interface, decent sound for it's price point, and is the best value for money, then this should be on your short list.
