My friends and I laugh so hard and so funny game

Another great game from Cyanide and Happiness! The cards were not as raunchy as I expected, but it's still a lot of fun. The gameplay is easy to understand and the idea behind the game is unique.

I think the concept of the game is really fun and has potential to be great if they didn't make it so complicated. Some of the stuff on the cards are hilarious and really bring out the comedy in people. Easier instructions with more detail would be great other than its a great game for adults.

Purchased this for a friend of mine she absolutely loved it. We brought it to a friends house the following weekend and everyone found it easy to learn, enjoyable, fun and we played it for hours

I'm a Gen X-er and was at a get together with Baby Boomers and let me just say this game wasn't a big hit with them, lol! They're more of a bridge and canasta crowd TBH. I'll try again with a younger group. 😂

This game is a great improvement on the basic formula introduced to most by Cards Against Humanity! Cyanide and Happiness previously iterated on this formula with Joking Hazard, which was essentially the same game but with art (in the style of web comic frames) on each card instead of words for fill-in-the-blank. They then iterated on it further with Trial by Trolley, which split players into teams and asked them to lay down both art cards and words, and then asks them to defend their choices.In my personal opinion, Master Dater is the best of these games so far. It ditches the teams introduced in Trial by Trolley, but keeps the art cards. It also allows the judge to split their decision across multiple players, rather than declaring one player the winner overall. This allows for more nuanced gameplay where one player may try to safely win part of the hand rather than taking a risk to win the entire pot. The game also more strongly emphasizes an active role from each player: instead of just picking cards to present to the judge, you MUST make a case for your candidate, and this is where most of the laughs come out.Sure, the cards themselves are humorous, but it's the interaction between all the players and the judge where this game really shines! Similar games often rely on the shock value of the cards, which can be diminished both by the pace of the gameplay and by the players' familiarity with the deck. Master Dater, on the other hand, relies instead on the player interaction, resulting in much greater replay value. Incredibly easy to pick up and play, I think Master Dater is the best iteration yet of games following this formula!

Played this at a friend's BBQ this summer. When I got home I had to order it. What a great amount of fun to have to pitch your date!
