GarminTether for Edge GPS 510/810/820, Black

It’s a bit of elastic joined to a bit of thread. If it didn’t have Garmin written on it probably half the price. Having said that, what other options are there other than not having a tether? So, I’m afraid, you’re stuck with it.

Genuine Garmin part, does what it is meant to do, i.e. provides a safety loop for your device to save it hitting the deck if it gets dislodged.

Very expensive for what it is and a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It's okay for putting your hand through so it's secured to your wrist if you drop it. However, if you're looking for a lanyard to go around your neck that you can attach your Garrmin to, this is definitely not it. I had to go on eBay to find a suitable lanyard at a reasonable price.

Designed for small Garmin's in the Edge range but I bought this for a larger hand held device which I also take out on by bike sometimes....just give that security of if I crash or the mount fails I'll still have my device rather than watching it bounce down the road then under the wheels of a car.....

Bought as a "belt and braces" tether to ensure our Garmin eTrex30 does not bounce off down the road should it ever detach itself from its cycle mount. Looped round the handlebar, this tether is ideal for this purpose on a bike and is just the right length and very light in weight. It would also serve as a useful wrist loop when the gps is used on a walk. My only minor criticism, and therefore for me just a 4 star rating, is I would prefer a non stretch elastic tether (the long loop in the picture is elastic), as I suspect this quite thin elastic will stretch and wear over time where a solid bit of even thin shock-cord would not. 5 stars otherwise, just the job. Supply and delivery were all very good.

It is small but it’s ideal for my use(hand held GPS) do t need anything much bigger
