These feel great to use and work well, and I think they are a good value
I've been using these for a couple of weeks now. From the very first use, I loved these. Trust me, I get what you might be thinking - "You got these for free, so of course you'll say that you love them." However, there are plenty of skin care products that I've tried that simply do not live up to their price point or claims. Is this set worth (at least as I write this) $161? Before I got them, I assumed the answer was no. Now...I think that they are, and let me try to explain why.(*) First off, they feel great to use and have pleasant yet subtle scents. The entire experience is just...really nice. The cleanser works great, the essence feels nice but I honestly don't know what it does, the serum is fantastic in how if feels going on and in how my face feels afterwards, and the moisturizer is just wonderful in how it feels. The moisturizer simply glides on like silk and is possibly the best that I've used in terms of how it feels and how little I need to use(*) To expand on that last part, some of the value is in how little you need to use compared to how much you might use of a cheaper brand. For example, I really like some Biore cleansers, but (and maybe I don't need to) I use a lot more per wash than I do with this. I've used facial moisturizers for years, many of which are less expensive, but I use a heck of a lot more each time with those. In fact, I need very little of any of these products. With the moisturizer, I typically use similar size containers that cost me ~$12 but that I'll use at least three times as much, so there's almost $40 in "cheaper" products to match just the moisturizer. The serum is tougher for me because I've never used one that was inexpensive, so my only experiences with serum are fairly pricey products, which means that this set isn't out of line in that respect at all(*) The frosted glass containers are wonderful. From the very first one that I took out of the box, I just enjoy holding them. Some of you aren't going to care about the tactile experience of the containers, but I think it really adds to the experience. When I reach for these in the morning/evening, I just enjoy the entire experience. I have inexpensive and expensive products that come in cheap (and cheap feeling) plastic dispensers, and applying them is just going through the motions. It's not an "experience," it's a task. These containers, at least for me, change that. I used to think that fancy bottles and jars were just a rich snob thing, but they kind of take me out of my daily grind and help me be in the moment. Plus, it's not like the glass containers add that much to the cost - it's just a wonderful attention to detailSo, these products work well, and they feel and smell great in use. To me, their value not only lies in the great overall experience, but also in that I don't think that "cheaper" products necessarily save you money when you consider how much you use each time. As a gift set, I think these would make a great impression. Each container does come in it's own protective box, but they are nicely colored. It's also a big deal to me that these are cruelty free. More and more cosmetics thankfully seem to be heading that way, but a lot of them still aren't, and I support products like this that are. Btw, the other moisturizer that I've been using lately and mentioned above is from Covergirl (Clean Fresh Skincare Mattifying Oil-Free Moisturizer), who is also cruelty free. I think that's a great product, too, but it's not in this league.

Allergic to the seaweed?
This bundle was just not for me. I liked the pear cleanser well enough, but I felt like it was kind of weak, for lack of a better word. I also liked the toner. The barrier cream was an odd rubbery texture, but it felt ok on my face. The seaweed product however did not agree with my skin the last time I used it. As soon as I put it on my skin felt a little warm, and I got little bumps on my forehead. I ended up washing all 4 products off with my regular cleanser and my skin felt better. I like that the products come in glass bottles, and I think there are definitely some benefits to some of the products. They are just not what I'm used to using and I found them a little weird I guess. I used them multiple times because I really wanted to like them. Unfortunately I just can't recommend this bundle.

Urban Calm Collection
This fermented skincare bundle comes with everything you need to begin a skin care routine if you've never had one before. A cleanser to begin, followed by a toner, serum and moisturizing cream to complete the routine. It all comes in a nice little package and would make a great gift. Good value for the price as well. Would recommend to others.

So Far These Products are Working Well Together
Every time I try a new product that says ‘works best with some other product’ in their line, I think that I’d really like to try a set of products that are meant to work together. Have I had that thought for about two years? Yes and finally I have four products by Urban Calm that are designed to work together! Cheers to finally achieving one of my goals before the new year. The company states, “do a patch test for 24 hours” and I always appreciate when they take time to remind you that not every product works for everyone. I received these items on December 12. I always do two days of patch tests, first on my arm then on a spot on my face (in this case four spots on my arm and then four spots on my face). I had no negative reactions so I put away my other skin care products and started using these four products instead of my usual a.m. routine ( I did still add two other thing, sunscreen and eye cream). This is my first experience with fermented ingredients. The company states that these ingredients will help firm your skin and provide hydration. As for the products, the cleanser works and I only had to use less than a quarter sized amount. I’m still not exactly sure what the essence does, but I’m applying two pumps every day before then applying three drops of serum. The final step with this set is the cream which I only use a small amount to cover my entire face (except around my eyes).I always leave time between applying products for them to absorb, and it takes me around a half an hour to use all four and have my skin absorb them. (I do other things like getting dressed. I don’t just stand there! Too much to do in the a.m.)So far my skin seems to like all four products. My face feels clean and hydrated and I can see these lasting well into February(or longer) before I use these up. I’ll update this if I see any really positive or negative results, but so far, I’m really liking this set and can’t say anything negative about this collection.

Good set
4 step set works well together. Smells wonderful, but personally feel it’s a bit pricey. Also I’m not very good at keeping up with skin care routines with a lot of steps.
