Leifheit Ironing Board Padding, Molleton Felt ironing board foam, with a Universal Foam Pad to Fit All Ironing Surfaces, Cut down-to-size, 140 x 45 cm

The foam rubber that came with the ironing board had rotted away and I was getting little mesh patterns on all the ironing. This padded fleece sheet is the perfect substitute. Just a tip when fitting though..... Place it on the floor with the bare ironing board on top (both upside down, of course). Line up one side of the padded sheet with one side of the board and, using the weight of the board to keep the sheet in place, mark round the rest of the shape of the board using a black pen. Remove the board and cut along the pen line you just made on the sheet. This gives you a perfect shape of sheet for your board. Now, place the ironing board cover upside down on the floor. Place the sheet on top making sire it fits perfectly. Now place the board (again upside down) on top and tie up the cover with the sheet sandwiched between it and the board. Make any adjustments and fully tighten before turning the whole lot up the right way. May sound complicated but it's really easy.

When my previous ironing board cover got so thin that you could see the metal through it I knew I needed a new one. Having merrily bought a new cover I soon realised that the problem wasn't just the cover, but also the foam that sits underneath it (between the metal ironing board and the cover); my previous one had all but disintegrated. In all honesty, I was a little taken aback at how a bit of foam could command such a price-tag. However, having purchased, cut to size and put on the ironing board I will admit that it works well. To cut I would recommend putting the entire sheet/foam on top of your ironing board and then getting a pen and drawing around it from underneath. That is what I did and it seemed to work well.

Had to purchase this 8mm felt backing as Brabantia ‘complete’ set ironing board cover description stated it had 4mm foam backing plus 4mm felt backing. Unfortunately the backing was only 8mm foam backing that was insufficient for a smooth ironing surface and hence this purchase at extra cost. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Good depth of padding will make ironing much easier.

Lovely and thick padding also had the board cover so together they made the ironing board feel like new,however it still has not made me enjoy ironing any more than I did before . It did work out expensive with them both and delivery £28 and I suppose I could, of just bought a new ironing board for that , but happy that they fit my extra large ironing board proproperly and that there are no creases or wrinkles on the clothes.

I bought this for an elderly friend whose ironing board padding has seen better days and she was finding the 'diamond' pattern of the base imprinting on clothes when ironed. This is really thick and when cut to size and secured under the ironing board cover has made her life so much easier. I used the method another reviewer suggested of laying out the padding on the floor and putting the ironing board on top (upside down) to mark around with a thick pen before cutting. Perfect!

Bought this to try and rid the criss cross marks which had started appearing on my clothes when ironing. It was easy to cut to shape but does require two people to put on the board - this is because it moves around when trying to put the cover over the top. It has largely gotten rid of the criss cross marks - only a few things are stubborn enough to still be showing them. Overall, am happy with the purchase.

Nice thick (5 cm) padding, but the width was not as expected. The listing and packaging stated 45 cm wide, the item measure just 44 cm wide. I know, it's only 1 cm short, but that makes the difference between the padding reaching the edge of the ironing board and not reaching the edge. Most annoying.

立ったままアイロンがかけれるアイロン台を長年使っていますが、やはり中のパッドがへたれてきて、アイロン台の鉄の網目がうすくアイロン掛けしたときに衣類についてしまっていました。このフェルトパッドを前のパッドの上にのせて周囲を切り取り、アイロン台カバーをかけ直して使っています。衣類に網目がつかなくなって、大満足です。 このフェルトパッドは折りたたまれて袋に入っているので、最初この折シワがでこぼこだったのですが、数回アイロンをかけるとすんなり真っ直ぐになります。 自分で台の形にあわせて裁ちばさみで簡単に切れるので、グッドです。 年数が経てば、またこれもへたれて来るのかも知れませんが、せっかくの台、末永く使うには無くてはならないアイテムかと思います。 アイロンとの密着性が良くなったのか、押さえる様にかけなくてもきれいに仕上がるような気がします。 切り取った残りも、あまりに立派なフェルトと厚みなので何かに使えるかなって取ってあります(^^; いろいろ工夫次第で使えそうです。

We put this pad and couple cover over it and it is good to use. One down size_ need to buy holding pins, it does not have a rubber or other things to hold itself on board. It is laying just as piece of cloth.

I had to cut the material to fit my smaller ironing board, but there was no problem. Now my ironing is superb !

Bei meinem mehr als 30 Jahre alten Ärmelbrett hatte sich die Polsterung "verkrümelt". Gestell und Bezug sind noch tip-top. Daher entschied ich mich für die 5 mm dicke Molton-Polsterung. Das Ausmessen war unkompliziert, der Zuschnitt mit einer scharfen Küchenschere fusselfrei. Nun funktioniert alles wieder wie gewünscht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser Lösung.

El producto es de muy buena calidad. El muletón en grueso y fácil para el planchado. No dejas marcas.
