Yes this pond should go in the ground in my opinion, it is rigid however not sure it would look right just placed on the ground.

Would this be an ok size for ducks?

Hi it sounds like you have the same problem as us when we went to buy this liner , someone posted what they said was correct size and that turned out was incorrect ! To keep you right it is not big enough for ducks but if you meant the small yellow ones that are in your bath yes they are okay. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😎👍
