The first side took 1.6 litres, one can covered 5 sides after adjusting nozzle pattern and flow. It’s expensive stuff, not quite sure why, but anyway, it’s very highly rated and the fence panels were expensive, so worthy of a couple of coats. It’s a very thin consistency and rapidly soaks into the wood so I think spraying is the most economical and best option. One panel takes about 2 minutes to spray! I bought a 400W Von Haus Spray Gun off desertcart, a really good bit of kit, and very easy to use. Ordinary white spirit will clean the gun after use. Review: Nice natural finish - I sanded my really grotty-looking shed back to fresh(ish) pine and then applied this in two coats to stop it discolouring in future. I don’t know if it will work, but my shed looks natural instead of dyed and I can see the woodgrain better for the preservative. I needed double the amount I thought I would, but I am very happy with the look. The product (clear) makes only a very small difference to the woods appearance so don’t use it if you don’t already like the look of your shed or whatever. (I gave 5 stars for its water resistance and value for money qualities but I have no idea really.
