My mother absolutely adores it where is it every Sunday at church.

I got it for the theme (thistle -- this was supposed to be a gift to remind someone of Scotland). I worried it would be too small, but actually, it isn't. The green rhinestone isn't very bright, but it does add to the slightly antique feel of the piece. It does have proper bar pin, so there IS a swivel/catch to keep the pin secured, which is good since the brooch is heavier than I anticipated. I guess that's silver for you. The only thing I'd wish is a way to secure the pin to the jewel box it comes in. I had to ship this as a gift to someone and had to wrap it in bubble wrap to keep it from rattling around the jewel box during transit.
