WD40 fixes the "sticking"
I bought this because it was such a reasonable price. Three observations, given its price: 1. The main metal mechanics are absolutely fine. Mine is very slightly "misaligned" - it's a manufacturing tolerance - I'm not crimping BNC connectors for a living, so I don't care. In terms of sturdiness, the metal parts are solid. 2. The plastic handles don't fill me with massive confidence. I _think_ there is metal inside the handles for the most part, but they do flex quite a bit when you're crimping. I wouldn't "really try to force them together", and I would keep your hand as close to the crimp as possible (to reduce the torque on the plastic part itself). Again, the tool hasn't failed on me, I'm just being honest to what I've experienced. For the price, I can afford for this to fail on me - and and I'm still going to be happy! 3. The ratcheting mechanism got stuck on me, as per many other reviewers. The reason I feel 5/5 is still appropriate is this: the price. All it took for me as a few squirts of WD40 (you do always try to maintain _all_ your tools regularly, right?) ... and it has been fine ever since. If it had stuck on me after I'd owned the tool for 3 years, I wouldn't have batted an eye lid. I suspect the manufacturing process, given the price of the tool, has margins which are too thin to include applying enough/appropriate/any grease or oil in the relevant locations. If your experience is like mine, it's nothing that 2 squirts of WD40 won't fix.I paid literally 1/3 the price for this tool verses others. YMMV, I think it depends on how much your life depends on the tool as to whether this is the right one for you. I buy Milwakuee M18 power tools because I rely on them all the time - as for BNC connectors, it'll be rare that I'm crimping. Spending the Milwakuee prices on drills makes sense for me in my situation, it doesn't for a BNC crimper. It may be the other way around for you. Act accordingly!

Solid
Crimps feel well made and solid. Sometimes the plastic outer casing can be weak but these are perfect.

Nice Quality
Good quality however check the pin in the BNC plugs you are using as some i had were too small for the crimps

Poor crimping action
Poor quality tool that doesn't crimp properly. Doesn't crimp center pins properly and distorts the ring crimp on the outer and the jaws do not close properly

Doesn’t do as described
Decent crimp, seems well made and sturdy but doesn’t do as it says. Certainly won’t crimp at 1mm
