Near Perfection!
I have bad shoulders so I need a back scrubber that is angled, a good length, a substantial handle for a good grip and firm bristles for exfoliation. This one does it all. First off it's hard to find a handled brush with a decent angle, I just don't have the range of motion in my arms due to my bad shoulders; before this one I had to jerry rig one with duct tape and other household items to get the brush at the correct angle. The handle is thick where you grip it; it has some ridges on it so you handle doesn't slip, a soft grip would be better but it's not a deal breaker for me. A lot of handled brushes are too short but this one is long enough for me. As far as the bristles are concerned, they aren't as firm as my old one but they are close together to make it firm. It is also perfect to use dry as a back scratcher. Lastly, someone mentioned the the brush head is too small - not really, it's not big but its round which lets you get between your shoulder blades easily, also if you have arthritis then a small head is lighter and you can apply more force per square inch. I looked a long time before I ever found this one.

Good with a few drawbacks.
This brush is certainly long enough with good quality bristles and reaches your whole back. The drawback is it is hard to hold onto it. I think the handle should have more serrations because it is very slippery .

FANTASTiC - The Last Brush You Will Ever Need
I bought this brush, the grey with 20.5" handle and stiff bristles about six months ago. My very first experience with it was, "This is too good to be true." Happily it wasn't. I remember thinking that there was just no way these bristles would remain so stiff and wonderful. Well, six months later, used at least once a day, every day, the bristles are just as wonderful as that first day. From sports and just normal aging I have reach and movement limitations with my shoulders. Not an issue any more. With this brush I can easily and comfortably reach my entire back and even the back of my legs all the down to my feet.A number of the reviews that I read before buying this brush didn't like the grip on the handle. Perhaps the company reacted, or perhaps those reviewers didn't know what they were talking about. The handle on my brush certainly DOES have a section of very comfortable grip.Over the last thirty years I have used a wide variety of long handled shower brushes and this is BYFAR the BEST of all of them. The design is simple and brilliant with its curved long arm and comfortable grip and l - o - n - g reach. I'm 6' with 36" reach and with this brush I can easily scrub my entire back. AND THE BRISTLES !!!! These are wonderfully stiff to give a really good scrub. The feeling is just fantastic. And of course there is an attached loop to be able to hang the brush.I would like to stress one thing about the bristles. I can just imagine all those with baby soft skin writing in and complaining about how stiff the bristles are, how they hurt the skin. DON'T COMPLAIN. This company offers stiff and soft. If you have soft delicate skin just buy the soft bristles. For those of you who, like me, enjoy the feeling of firm bristles cleaning and massaging the skin this is just the best brush and bristles available - hands down.I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine everyday.

handle hard to hold without turning
Love the firm, dense brush head. Handle would be better if not so curved and if the part you hold was horizontal, not vertical. It is too difficult to hold in your hand behind your back and keep the brush flat on your back with the vertical handle. If it was a straighter handle with a horizontal part you hold would have given it 5 stars.

Best ever...
I've used many shower back brushes over the years, but this one tops them all. I've had wooden handles that were too short, have broken, no curve.. Non really did the job 100%. But this brush ticks all the boxes for me. Perfect curve to reach all my back. Really sturdy plastic lets me get a really good scrub, and is long enough to reach almost to my waist from over my shoulders. Nice stiff bristles that hold soap very well. Very happy I have it. (As of this review I've been using it almost a month)

Brush smelled when wet & dry
I really wanted to like this long stiff bristled back brush. (20.5 grey, Stiff Bristles) However there were a few issues that made it a no go! The Biggest issue was the way the brush smelled when wet. It was horrible. I was hoping it would smell better after drying but it wasn’t much better. This might have been due to the very dense boar bristles. My previous back brush had nylon bristles and did not smell. Because of the very dense boar bristles, I was also concerned about possible mold or residue buildup at the very base of the bristles. The directions say to lay the brush flat to get the excess water out and then you can hang it to dry. I followed product directions. I found this to be a hassle as this is one more task in life I don’t need. My previous nylon bristled back brush I was able to hang immediately after use and didn’t have to lay it flat for any length of time.Another issue I had is the back brush kept hitting my shower wall when I used it. I live in an apartment and have a standard size shower. I didn’t have this problem with any of my previous back brushes. I also found the curve of the handle very awkward and hard to control the brush placement on my back. This back brush was awkward and not comfortable to use. The thick boar bristles make it difficult to rinse clean and I don’t consider it good value for the money. I really wanted to like it.
