An attractive and solid butter dish that I use for homemade 'spreadable' butter (Beat two parts butter with one part oil - easy!). It is quite capacious and easily accommodates a standard shaped 250g block of butter. I like that you can immediately see how much butter you have left.I put my butter in the deep part, but it could easily be used the other way around if you wished although then you wouldn't see the nice picture of the cow so you may as well buy the slightly cheaper plain one. Mr A complains that he fears that he might drop it when extracting it from the fridge as there is only a slight ridge for grip around the lip. It is relatively heavy and slippery if there is condensation so you notice the sharp contrast to plastic tubs. I don't consider it a problem so I guess its a personal thing.

I much prefer glass ! It’s super pretty, heavy, sturdy. But yes, Canadians, beware of the size, our large butter sticks won’t fit. I cut mine, I don’t care, I abolutely love this old looking style dish!

Ne ho una senza la mucca comprata da un casalinghi anni fa e ne cercavo una uguale da regalare alla mia amica francese. Si è emozionata perché è uguale a quella che aveva sua mamma in Francia. Io la considero la burriera per eccelenza perchè e pesante, di vetro e molto pratiche le scalanature che fanno in modo che il burro non scivoli quando lo tagli. Perfetto con il panetto.di burro salato francese del Carrefour. Lo puoi ussare in entrmbi i versi. Comprato da venditore Amazon per poco più di 10 euro con tempi di consegna un pò più lunghi ma risparmiato bene 8 euro dal prezzo di altro venditore su Amazon....acquistato il 27 Aprile con consegna prevista il 13 Maggio..consegnato in anticipo... il 5 Maggio...che dire..grazie Amazon.
