Compact travel backgammon set, sides take a minute or two to get right the first time but then you’re all set. I replaced the wooden checkers with Bakelite ones since they glide a little better. Overall well made, the price could come down a bit but it is nice for us traveling.

I love the smaller version for portability. The down side is the dice roll off quite often. The larger board is like a full size board. They are both easy to set up and stow away. I was going to keep one and give the other away, but they seem to have different purposes - depending on how much room you have, where you are playing and your frustration tolerance of re-rolling dice because they fall off the small board or land on pieces more than the larger board. I hope the pictures give you a decent comparison. They are both well made and will serve you well.

The flimsy pieces bade from the lightest weight wood make it difficult to keep on the flimsy board. No cups for the dice. Had to return! We used a small magnetic game for traveling.

This is a nice game, but it's not quite as nice as the previous version. And it costs more. The pips don't have the same satisfying heft as they had before.

We've all seen the small box travel backgammon sets. Those are fine, but I wanted a set that was big enough to enjoy playing and small enough to stow away in a flexible pack. This set fits the bill perfectly. It took a little bit of figuring out how to get it to stay flat, but the trick is to use the magnets and let the metal pieces flex into position. Yes, it DOES work! Seller performed flawlessly, well protected in shipment and delivered on time. Recommended!

Missing a white checker

Beautifully crafted! Love this - was apprehensive about spending as much as I did but it was SO WORTH IT. This will be a game we will have forever. The checkers are quality wood and finishings high end. Easy to set up and the ribbons inside the zipper make getting the checkers out seamlessly. Replaced a cheap made-in-China “wood” one and this was a perfect choice. Highly recommend.

Materials used are top quality and the sewing is perfectly finished. Took me a few mins to work out how to keep the sides stable but once you find the right point to put pressure on, the sides remain up and you can play with no fear of losing the dice. It isn't cheap but looks like it will travel well and stY nice if cared for I'm very pleased with it and would recommend to all Backgammon playing travellers

Das Spiel hält, was es verspricht. Es ist gut verarbeitet und lässt sich schnell aufbauen. Der Untergrund auf dem das Spiel aufgebaut wird, muss glatt sein. Das Spiel ist also nicht für die Wiese geeignet, aber für den Sandstrand schon, weil man die Sandfläche glatt streichen kann. Es fehlt leider eine schützende Verpackung für den Transport auf Reisen, bzw. unterwegs. Dazu habe ich mir hier bei Amazon ein "RUMOLD DP65350 Versandrohr Drehpack Kern- 65 mm, Länge 350-620 mm" gekauft. Es hat einen Innendurchmesser von 65 mm. Das Spiel hat aufgerollt einen Durchmesser von 60 mm, sodass es mit den Lederbändseln gut hineinpasst. Die Länge des Spiels beträgt im aufgerollten Zustand 350 mm . Das RUMOLD-Versandrohr lässt sich über das Innenrohr wie ein Teleskop stufenlos von 350 auf 620 mm verstellen. Wenn einen das stört, kann man das Innenrohr mit einer feinen Eisensäge entsprechend kürzen. Somit passt das Siel perfekt in die Verpackung und das wertige Spiel ist für den Transport unterwegs und auf Reisen gut geschützt.

Dieses Backgammon Spiel sollte ein besonderes Geschenk sein und kam sehr gut an! Der Rand ist stabil und behielt bisher seine Form. Das Leder duftet, wie man es erwartet, alles ist sorgsam und liebevoll verarbeitet. Die Tasche für Steine und Würfel könnte einen Millimeter größer sein. Super wäre eine Hülle dafür! - Ich fand in den Rezensionen die Idee, eine stabile drehbare Dokumentenhülle aus Plastik dafür zu erwerben, deren Preis unergründlich hoch ist. Doch sie bietet auf passende Länge zurechtgeschnitten den idealen Schutz für das wertvoll verarbeitete Spiel!
