Still Going Strong After Two Years
I’ve had this booster for several years now and it’s saved me a few times. The battery holds charge really well—I can leave it in the car for months and it’s still ready when needed. Even after use, the charge barely drops, though I always top it up just in case after boosting the car. Definitely worth the price, especially since I chose to buy this instead of replacing the car battery. A professional recovery service once told me I needed a new battery after I accidentally left the power on without the engine running. They charged it and quoted £120 for a replacement. Several years later, I still haven’t replaced it and the car has been fine. I’ve only had to use the booster around three times, which isn’t bad considering they wrote off my battery—one that’s already lasted well beyond its expected lifespan.

An amazing piece of kit!
Little beauty. Super compact but packs a punch!Dead battery started straight away. This is for petrol cars only. If you have a diesel car you should buy the GB40.Everyone should have one. It’s just an amazing piece of kit!

Worth Every Penny
It seems to be a universal rule that cars only ever break down when it is difficult to get anything done about it. I needed to use mine for a short trip on Christmas day. After clearing ice off the windows, I got in, turned the ignition and nothing but a clicking noise. No one available to help, so I was unable to use the car that day. Thinking on the problem, I realised that for the past few weeks I had been using the car for work with the lights, heaters, dashcam, satnav and radio all on, followed by 5 days of only using the car twice for 1.5 mile trips to the local shop.Having intended to buy one of these boosters a while back for emergencies, I ordered a NOCO Boost Sport GB20 from Amazon (the cheapest NOCO model because my car is only a 1.2 litre, so well within the specified "up to 4 litre" range. The product arrived promptly, but unfortunately comes with only about 1/4 charge. The manual says to fully charge before use, which I estimated at 3 hours given the USB charger I was using. After the 3 hours were up, I clipped the leads to the battery, turned on the unit, gave it 30 seconds, crossed my fingers and then turned the ignition - it started first time. I ran the engine for 15 minutes and will try the car again in the morning when I can give it a good run without needing the headlights on. If it doesn't start again then I have the booster ready in order to get it started and get to a garage for a new battery.I really wish that I had bought one of these a year ago (as I was going to do after helping a work colleague jump start his car). From now on, this is going in the boot of the car and coming out every weekend for a recharge, just because it will give me peace of mind.Compact and very easy to use. Really pleased with this purchase.

Very Good quality product
Bought for emergencies for a hybrid car. Came recommended. Like that it charged ready to use, especially useful if breakdown where there is no electricity. Charge lasts for 6 months or more, sits in the boot ready to use but hopefully won't need it too often.

Worked first time!
I have a car with an intermittent fault which means I'm never sure whether the battery will be charged or flat. Most of the time it's fine but, every now and again, I find that it's just dead.An auto electrician has said that I need to leave the car with him for about a week so that he can test it every day. Presently, I can't do without the car for a week. He's done a couple of checks but could find no fault. That's why I carry one of these. The previous one got hot in the car (remember the heatwave?) and swelled so I had to dispose of it.I've had this a couple of months without needing it but was very glad I had it when I went to the car to find it had no power. The central door locking didn't work, the dash lights didn't come on and everything was dead.Luckily, I had connected this unit to the mains for about six hours when it arrived to fully charge it.I connected up the booster, remembering to switch it on, turned the ignition key and the car started first time. I was impressed.Even more so when, after a short drive to get fuel, I found that the car still didn't have enough energy in the battery to start. I connected the unit up and it started easily for the second time. My car has a 1.4 litre petrol engine.I checked the remaining power on the colored LED display and the green was still lit, indicating there was more power immediately available if I needed it.It was a little costly but very effective and gives me complete peace of mind. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Revived Yaris Cross Hybrid
Many 2021 and later Yaris and Yaris Cross owners will be aware of the tendency of these cars to run the 12v battery flat, sometimes when not used for just a few days. After my first incident in a car park which needed an AA call out last year, I bought a trickle charger to top up at home occasionally. At the same time I bought this Noco jump starter just in case it ran flat away from home.I couldn't really review it until this week, when it came to the rescue and easily jump started the car at the first attempt. I charged it once when I got it and not since, so I can confirm it will hold a charge for at least 6 months and probably much longer. The build quality is excellent and instructions simple to follow.Tip for owners of this car, there is a 12V terminal under the bonnet, you don't need to access the battery itself (under the rear seats). Check your manual for details.
