Very bright!
I’ve been using this light on my tank for a few months now and it works very well! If anything it’s too bright. I do wish there was a dimmer setting but it’s great otherwise

I really like this light!
As a non-recovering Tankoholic. I own several different brands of lights from the Fluval 3.0 ,hygger 957 and everything from shop lights to outdoor spotlights. Every aquarium I have is heavily life planted deep substrate natural tanks. So I am hoping this very inexpensive light is worth at least what I paid for it and if it is worthy I may need a dozen more. So far at first use I can say light output is worthy of the price, I have no choice but to admit this light will grow low level light plants very well in a 1 foot tall tank. as far as longevity and durability I will comment on that in six months or sooner if it pukes out. The physical size of this light is much smaller than expected, which is nice for nano tanks. The light does come from the factory set up to be used on a rimless tank, The plastic clips with a lot of work can be removed to sit on glass top. I say a lot of work because I actually had to use two pliers to break the pieces of plastic apart. I would love to fall in love with this light if it continues to work as it does now for at least one year I should be happy after all it was a $14 light. As far as the build quality, it was a $14 light. So far do I like it at $14 yes I absolutely do, so far! One month update. The light has been working like a champ for a month now. Each of the LEDs are still working. My only complaint with this light so far would be the color, it is very white almost unnatural, but easy to remedy with a drop of red food coloring and a paintbrush. I give the glass aquarium top a light wash with a red Magic marker to help warm up the color palette. This greatly helped the looks of my CPD‘s and bloody Mary shrimp, Inside a heavily planted 10 gallon. So far still a good light for $14 Two months on and still working just fine. This light (16”)is almost too bright for a 10 gallon. My bloody Mary shrimp glow like little red lightbulbs on my black Eco complete substrate. I’ve cut the light back too six hours a day and the plants are still going crazy. 18 month update all of them are still working just fine, none of the LEDs have burned out on the five lights I am running. I am getting ready to buy a couple more of these for the plants I have growing out the tops of my aquariums, I have around 10 riparians set up full of house plants with the roots inside the aquariums. I am running a couple of these lights now in my fish room on my own timers they have been working flawless. Dollar for dollar I don’t think you can find a brighter light than this. Will it show off the colors of all fish of course not but it does what it does very well.

Great light but far too bright for a like sized aquarium.
Longevity ratings are what led me to this light. I had read reviews about this being too bright, then saw some saying it wasn't bright enough so did not know what to expect. I opted for the 24" light for a 24" tank. Whoa now. This light being as bright as it is needs an output control like I've seen a few other similar aquarium lights out there. I had wood slats blocking its light output until just realizing it should be 1/2 the output and ordered a second 12" long light which is perfectly adequate and appropriate for a 24" tank, uses 1/2 the power, doesn't have the heat output a 24" long light has, and won't make you squint from across the room. Yes, it is that bright. It's very easy to put together, very think profile and attractive. Just cannot give it a full 5 stars because of a lack of a dimmer which it needs, and would easily make it the full package product.

Very bright Light
Best light we have ever used for growing succulents in an aquarium. Light is very bright. The top of it does get somewhat hot and the on and off switch is too close to the plugin to use easily. Other than this it is a great light to use for plants.

So far so bright EDIT RUSTS!
For the $12 I paid, it’s worth the money. It’s perfect for shallow tanks and gets down to the bottom of the tank. I do wish it had a dimmer. It’s either on or off no inbetween. It’s fairly skinny and small which is what I wanted for the tank which is 18x6x7.5. I do not think it would be great for deeper tanks however. The timer is 3,6,12 or 24 hours and does work however the cord is very short so I need to get an extension cord or longer outlet block. Reason for four stars instead of five - cord is too short, wish there was a dimmer or color changer. Other than that it’s great especially for $12. The clips are good for rimless tanks and fit perfectly but would not fit a tank with a rim so keep that in mind when buying. Over all very happy with it. I was aiming for a low cost planted tank and this light is perfectly cheap for it. EDIT after a few weeks of owning the light - there now there is rusting inside half of the light where my Aerator bubbles up a bit. It also has gotten very cloudy from being above the water. It is not waterproof by any means and does rust. To be honest the side that has the rust actually brings the color of my dragon rock out very well lol but I do not like the idea of it not being waterproof so I will be returning and getting something else. I also do not like that the timer does not have a 8 or 10 hour option because 12 was too long for my plants. I have to set it at 6 then after 6 I have to set it at 3. With that my plants like the light and are growing well but I will get something with a dimmer and better timer.

Bright white light
I thought it had different settings of light but it doesn’t, nothing special about it. It just give the tank a white light, does have 3 timers,I still haven’t figured out what the 2 mental sticks are for, it’s not to extend the sides, if I put them on the end brackets won’t go on n it will fall in tank.,

YES! Cheap but affective!
Extremely bright, seems well made, the design blends in, the color seems to disappear with my 10 gallon and the weight is manageable. Highly recommend for a cheap light for plants.

Might be over kill on my 2.5 gallon snail tank but they like the algea. Would work on a 10 gallon I think.

Great little light at a decent price point. Nice and bright and easy to use. Currently using on a 10gal rimless and the tank clips are really handy to keep the light installed snugly. Has a built in timer which is nice. The only thing that could make this light better would be a dimmer
