Ebode Powermid Extender Review. 2nd January 2015.
Ebode Powermid Wireless Remote Control Extender (PM10C)After much deliberating I got these a couple of days ago. I will summarize my findings to avoid boring anyone with a long essay about them.Yes they do work,You need to be quite selective about where you place them in both rooms if sending the signal through a house..I think when it is claimed that they will work over a distance it depends what the signal has to pass through.A downstairs to upstairs set up is probably more likely to work easily than in a bungalow like mine. From lounge to master bedroom in my case is about 30 feet direct. The signal has to pass through solid walls with mirrors hanging on them. A result can be achieved but it is not easy. Floor level worked best here where the signal passed under the mirrors in the line of fire.Humax Freesat has a lot narrower angle of reception than my TIVO box or my old Panasonic DVD recorder. This is the one that causes greatest difficulty in getting it to work.It is a fairly cheap option for operating remote commands from other rooms. There is better ways of doing it but at a cost.I reckon the signal would go upstairs easier because generally houses do not have solid floors (concrete) in bedrooms. When it is claimed that the signal will go through walls, you need to consider the number of walls in the line of fire and whether they are solid or stud.As a postscript, I would add that the Humax Freesat box has proved particularly difficult to operate remotely even at short distances. The sensor angle of it's own IR receiver is the problem here, requiring the Powermid to be placed directly in front of and close to it AND at the same height.

works perfectly
Bought this to replace a similar system (by 'One for all') that I've had in place for years. The old system always performed intermittently, especially if anyone was line of sight between transmitter and receiver (I guess it was at the edge of its range), but it starting failing completely. This new system is much better than the one it has replaced. So far it has performed flawlessly. I should add that the transmitter is about 25m away from the receiver with two solid walls and one stud wall in between. Units also look well made and neat.

Easy to set up and it just works
I wasn't convinced this would work with my Sky Q box but ordered on the off-chance, knowing Amazon returns are easy.First impression: I was fairly unimpressed with the build quality as the devices seem quite light and fragile and the power supply fits only loosely into the socket on the rear of the devices - I didn't think they were taking a charge. But I was wrong. I followed the setup instructions (just 2 lines of simple explanation - essentially plug and play and no need for any technical knowledge) and it instantly worked perfectly. For information: the TV and the transmitter unit are are about 5m away from the receiver unit and Sky box which are in a closed cupboard in the same room. So, it's not having to transmit far and I haven't tested it over a longer distance but in this scenario it works like a dream.Very happy, 5 stars minus 1 star for the slightly flimsy build quality.

Waste of money...didn’t work for us! When it did was intermittent
Constantly looses signal and doesn’t work well!Ended up just upgrading out virgin box to Bluetooth!

While this device worked I found that the receiver seems ...
While this device worked I found that the receiver seems to continuously broadcast a signal that swamps the normal remote control in the room it is used it. I have a satellite box in a bedroom with a feed routed to a living room. This device did allow me to send remote control signals to the bedroom to operated the sat box but when it was switched on I could not operate the sat box while I was in the bedroom unless I held the remote control right next to it.

Wonderful Device
Wonderful device when set up properly but beware of the fact that it is not so efficient if the house has thick walls. Its range is limited then.

Amazon messed up, sent mystery item
I ordered the Ebode wireless remote sender, I received a part for a hoover. I’m totally amazed. Don’t even have a hoover it would fit, I have a robot hoover.Funny but poor show. Never had any problems with any previous orders.
