Soft, luxurious, comfortable!
These pillow cases from California Design Den are extraordinarily will made! They actually fit my king size pillows, they look and feel great. Haven't washed and dried them, yet, so no report on that. However, other reviewers were delighted with their quality and "washability". I plan to order another set or two in different colors. You won't regret buying these!

Quality! And Then Some
I am very particular about bedding. I almost always choose bamboo over any other fabric for its cooling properties (and my bamboo sheets last longer than the Target cotton sheets I used for years). But I chose these pillowcases solely because they were the closest match I could find to the color of the lampshade on my guest bedroom side table. I also needed a color that would complement the other two pillowcases on my guest bed (the ones that came with and match the sheet set). It's so difficult to tell about color when ordering something off a picture on a computer screen, but these were spot on.I'm thrilled with the color, but the unexpected bonus is the very high quality. These pillowcases are thick and ample for my down pillows. The stitching and hemming are heads above anything I've bought recently. So many companies try to emulate the pillow pocket design of pricier sheets, but it is usually poorly executed (and stands out visually as an oddity). A good pillowcase will contain the pillow without this, I find. This hem is attractive (has the quarter inch trim above the hem of the opening all the way around, so there's no wrong or right side to the pillowcase).I checked both pillowcases after I washed and dried them; there's no shrinking or warping of the side seams (and not pre-shrinking fabric to stabilize it before it's used to make sheets, pillowcases, cloth napkins, etc., seems to be the new shortcut in manufacturing of too many home goods ). Surprisingly, I didn't find a single thread on the right side of the pillowcase (popping out at the seam, which is just typical these days). There is no excessive wrinkling (but all 100% cotton is going to wrinkle a bit. But it's totally presentable straight from the dryer.I liked these pillowcases so much, that I looked at the company's sheets sets and picked out a set to buy for my guest bed when I need to replace them (because they are starting to show their age). They are not as silky or cool as bamboo, but they are the best in the 100% cotton group I've seen in a long time.

Soft
Nice pillowcases, soft, good size, however, cotton fabric was little thinner than I had hoped for.I'd purchase these again though.

Great quality sheets.
These sheets have been great for my college kids apartment bedding. They are super soft. They was really well and the elastic is good quality and stays put. I love that you can but individual sheets and not a whole set.

These are great pillow cases!
I was worried about the 400 thread count and the mixed reviews. I love the peacock blue color so I decided to get these pillowcases first before buying the entire set. I hand washed them (which I am now normally doing during the pandemic) and hung them out to dry.I really like the way they feel on my skin so I ordered the entire sheet set. I have have some 600 (or 800?) count purple sheets and cream colored sheets with a very high thread (around 1000). The purple have started falling apart (after about 15 years) so I was looking for replacements. The cream pillowcases are (of course) a lot smoother than these 400 TC ones. Even the 600/800 TC ones are a little smoother but the sateen finish on these 400 TC pillowcases is very comfortable and I enjoy how they feels on my skin. I tend to be sensitive about rough surfaces. For example I put a sheet over my couch in the summertime in order to have a smoother surface next to my skin.If I could have gotten a wonderful color like this in a higher thread count then I would have. But I really like how these feel. Last night I preferred their feel to that of the very high TC pillowcases. Maybe it's because these are thinner and more breathable. IDK.After hang drying they were very slightly wrinkled but the wrinkles were small and gave them a more natural look. If you want the to be plastic flat then you will have to iron them. I prefer to have some texture in my life and am a big fan of hang drying my linen shirts.I'm not a fan of low TC linens. I like to feel pampered. I took a gamble with these 400 TC pillowcases and it paid off. Maybe it's the sateen finish. Yes, higher TCs will feel smoother but these are smooth enough for me and I prefer how they feel. The feel did not change when I washed them but I needed to feel them next to my cheeks and arms, not just with my hand in order to evaluate them. Last night when I was half asleep I noticed I preferred to snuggle up next to these.YMMVG. Higher thread counts are, of course, smoother but my sensitive skin prefers how these feel. Come to think of it, my purple sheets wore out more quickly because I preferred them to my very high TC sheets. I thought this might be due to the color but now I think a well finished medium TC is better for me.
